Ok we have 5 new players…..we played Burton off the park but gave up stupid goals…..too much tick tacky shit….shoot from outside the area and stick first time crosses in the box…..we are too good to go down…..willing to give Appleton a little while longer
It’s the lack of attacking movement that drives me nuts. We knock it about in nice triangles without actually going forward, and 9/10 we then go long after keeping it for 5 minutes.

Said it before but our “wing backs” who offer nothing in attack or defence, kill us in this formation.
Edun has proven to be quite decent in attack, but neither are very good at defending. Kind of failed wingers and failed full backs.
    Massively disagree

I’ve thought hard and today is the day for me. Please go and get Michael Duff in. He’s the clear standout choice.

Are you even Charlton if you don’t know what corner flag picture means 😂 we basically had a couple a year since 2007
  • So the corner flag means he’s been sacked ?

You get some good ones (you wish were still here), some bad ones (who may just have been here at the wrong time) and then you some ugly ones (bad management, zero interest in fan relationship and full of themselves).

    So long ugly…

You are wrong - he needs to go now

Anyone thinking Appleton might be sacked within the next couple of weeks is going to be very disappointed. He’ll get until March at the least.
  • Too much noise on here from those who have been reliable with rumours in the past for him to still be here come Tuesday night.

Might even take a few days to be announced, whilst they confirm if its going to be Fleming or Pearce who takes the team in the meantime

there is no rationale or justification for him to be here. He has done absolutely zero, zilch in his time in here to suggest he is even remotely worthy of any role in football at all. There is no excuse for the results and performances with the players we have had available, and I’m talking about all season not just now we’ve had a few in

Might have missed something. What noise exactly?👍

The calculation has to be, what stops us being totally swamped in a relegation battle, suspect Tuesday will decide it

Whilst I can agree that failing to win Tuesday means he must go I’m not sure that winning means he should remain.

    Times up.

I will be there on Tuesday along with about 3000 die hards girding my loins for what is undoubtedly a relegation battle.
I doubt very much if our survival matters as much to Mr Appleton as it does to me.
Your loins must take a lot of girding!

Just think it buys time, line will be, look new signings are working, and it’s all going to be fine.

    then sacked in April

Can’t wait to see what the 8, 8 and 8s look like when we’re in the league 2

I think that “must win” game was today, against one of the few teams below us in the table rather than against a team several places above us on Tuesday.

I’m not a trigger happy supporter. I’m normally in favour of us trying to give managers more time than a lot of our fan base, but this has gone beyond the pale now.
  • Feels like we're past the point of no return. A win on Tuesday will make no real difference to his long-term survival prospects so we might as well get it done for everyone's sake including his.
  • Lost the fans, no turning back

Get it done and move on. Get someone in who can get the place rocking again. The Valley has been like a morgue for the past few years
