Being greedy i'd love LWB, RWB, AM, ST. But RWB & AM are the pressing ones for me4
-
Camara, McGrandles, Taylor, Coventry, Bakinson, Edmonds-Green, Dobson
We don't need another CDM3 -

RWB and a No10 would be fine for me. I know REG can play there but he's going to be needed as a CB3
-
Hope they'll announce a striker signing on Wednesday after the dust has settled after tonights match.0
-
Happy to wait for a No.10 / Striker if it means we get Aaron Collins in2

The best midfielder defensively in league 2 this season (statistically), only 21 and very mobile. Surprised we wasn't in for him as he's a London lad, has potential to improve and could potentially be a big transfer fee for a club in the future.
Coventry will be in our long term plans for sure, there's question marks all over Terry Taylor atm, McGrandles isn't very good from when he has featured, Bakinson isn't guaranteed to be here, we don't know enough about 'REG' and Mitchell is not ready for the first team, not even close from what I've seen.
Conteh isn't purely defensive minded. He is quicker than all the players you've mentioned and moves with the ball well, he just so happens to be a bit more all action. I'd say he's more likely to drive the ball forwards than any of our current midfielders (assuming he can bring his qualities up a league)
Can only go by what I've watched and heard but that's about all I can do for most of these Charlton players atm, as I barely see them feature or they're new signings.
I personally think that's a bit of a coup for Brizzle Rovers and I'd be curious to see how he fairs in league 1.
Some views; https://forum.thefishy.co.uk/Blah.pl?m-1705488398/
He's also got some nice footage on the old YouTube highlights, of course isn't always a measure of how good a player is but gives you an idea.
Anyway the reason I mentioned him is it might move Collins along..0 -

Either way I agree we're good at the back of the midfield it's the front of the midfield and WB where we need reinforcements0 -

What a weird scouting job by them.
Now if I was Dobson, I'd probably rather play inSzékesfehérvár (had to Google this) and be playing top flight Hungarian football as a life experience, rather than languishing in league 1. Presumably the wages would be better as well.
The appeal of living in London isn't there anymore imo, it's expensive and it's a dump other than certain areas. I'd be way more inclined as an English lad to take a risk in another country.
I think what may sway in our favour is him having his young family.
I also think he will land a contract in the championship or league 1 if his contract runs down here, a lot of teams will snap up a hard working, defensive midfielder in his mid 20s with top tackling and defensive stats. Even as a squad player.
I have worked abroad before and have travelled a lot and never found a city better than London. It has culture, history, architecture, great restaurants, theatres, great sport and much more. It's not perfect but no where is. I think English people talk it down toi much at times.
Having said all of that I have never understood why more English players don't play abroad. Not sure Hungry Infront of 3,000 people is overly attractive though.4 -
Central London is what makes London one of the great cities of the world. The dormitory suburbs have nothing really to commend them.0

Collins, a RWB and a LWB and we are set. Watson isnt good enough and i think Edun is probably good enough to be cover4
-
I think we need another big striker option or at least an all round striker option rather than another number 10 or at least as a higher priority. We already have a few who can play there (Fiorini, Watsonm Fraser if he stays) and in a 352 its pretty common to play with 2 8's rather than an 8 and a 10 so I dont see the 10 position as such a priority. Whereas if Ladapo picks up an injury we are back at square 1, no one to partner May other than Kanu who isnt the big hold up type.
So LWB and big striker are my priorities.0 -

Its very unlikely we will get a new 10 as long as Fraser is here. He is too expensive to be out of the squad and he is probably the best 10 in the current squad (not saying much)1

It doesn't matter who we sign, we can sign Michelin star players but we still have a McDonald's manager8

what we do need, however, are some attacking mids/creative players because without CBT we have no one to actually do anything with the ball for our forwards to finish off.2 -
Am I the only one who thinks we need a better goalkeeper?
AMB is fine but all top teams have a number one who is better than 'fine'.
There's no rush to get one this window but in the summer this should be one of our top priorities.27 -

Is it likely that we'll be signing anymore players considering the fiasco that's currently being played out at the Valley.
Who in their right mind would want to join?1 -

As a wingback I like the look of Jack Currie from Wimbledon. He looks like a very decent option0
-
So those players that have already signed, have they got a case for being sold a dummy and can now remove themselves from their contracts.
Because that would, I think be reasonable interpretation of false promises made by Scott and Appleton.
Or, I noticed Cory's reasons for joining Derby, Massive Club, Like the Project and vision repeat ad infinitum. Are players so think they can't recognise bullshit?2 -

Taylor - who knows, he's always injured. Can't be relied upon.
McGrandles - has been rubbish since we signed him, can't be relied upon.
Bakinson - might not be here.
REG - isn't he a defender? In any case no one has seen him play so who knows if he's a good defensive midfielder.
Mitchell - very young, probably would be too much to expect of him.
So out of that lot it's only Coventry who could be relied upon, especially for a side who would hope to challenge for promotion. So i have to agree with @Braziliance why not sign a promising young player (from London) for that position?1 -
