Let's face it, it wasn't just @DubaiCAFC who said he'd gone and didn't take training, others on here and elsewhere said the same! What transpired after all the reports, I haven't got a clue, I've never been ITK, but to me there's no smoke without fire.
Did the owners overule the SMT?, did MA refuse a mutual agreement? Or were the people who fed info to the different posters being used? I really don't have a clue, however I'm sure info shared was as accurate, at the time.
I do believe if he losses tonight his gone pronto!Interesting, as a rumour I heard at the weekend was AS being overruled on Dobson and a better offer about to be given to him to keep him at the club.
It's not Andy Scott's club.
If we want to continue on with George Dobson being paid as one of the best players at the club, I have very little faith that we’re getting out of this league any time soon.
Speaks volumes to me that he has no rumoured Championship or League One interest. He’s limited.
What progress have we made with Andy Scott's signings? A good example is the Loans, most clubs in the EFL utilise the loan window very well, we probably had one of the worst.
You have no idea who our best-paid player at the club is and if Dobson has requested that (which he hasn't) - Don't go off what Football Manager tells you.
Fans, such as yourself, claimed that Coventry will be better than Dobson when you have seen Coventry play I would say less than 5 times so I think that says it all.

Start a Dobson thread if you want to argue about Dobson…. It’s exhausting7

Dreading tonight, expecting another thoroughly depressing match. I hope we can buck the trend and actually get a result, even though the thought of keeping MA is also something to be dreaded.1

Also, rumours are he did not get on with Holden and relations with Appleton are iffy.0 -

Must mean the others are even more limited.
It's whether he's the right option for a team that's not a constant clown car
People still talk about Ben Purrington and he's not half as good as George Dobson.3 -
It really feels like there is absolutely no way back from here for Appleton regardless of the next few results, can anyone think of any occasions where manager as been at this point so close to the brink then managed to turn it around and go to have success?0

Michael Appleton being compared with SAF 😂😂😂 absolutely seen it all now27

Mrkinski "This geezer is no Fergie."No, he is Michael Appleton. The question was whether anyone else had turned it round this close to the brink. The answer is a resounding 'YES'!5

Not think so. Even if they did would you trust them? Don’t think so.0 -

Alex Ferguson had managed Aberdeen before United and won European cups, League titles and Scottish cups.
Michael Appleton before Charlton has let's see, mustered a 25% win rate at Pompey, 16% at Blackpool, 26% at Blackburn, 24% in his second attempt at Blackpool and now has a 29% at Charlton. A 37% rate overall, gracefully stat padded by his league 2 Oxford side, where it's the only club he's managed more wins than losses.
It's an utterly extreme, and ridiculous comparison. I can't stand that Fergie is used as a benchmark in giving a manager time among football fans, he is a complete exception, one of a kind, and one of, if not the best manager we will ever see.14 -

No-one as far as I am aware ever said Powells role at the club was in danger when he was first appointed.
Wasn't it accepted that he was just going to see that season out and make a decision on who he would keep? (And it didn't take him long to work out not many were worth keeping!)11 -

Appleton is a serial loser and the sooner we're shot the better.29
