We’re heading towards League 2 but we mustn’t dare hurt poor Voldemort’s feelings 😞😞😞

The worst thing is, Appleton will get another job after this.
    Hopefully very soon
I hope he does, might make an opponent easier to beat.
  • Just a question. If we get say Michael Diff in who plays 3-5-2 are the results going to change? I know MA has been crap but same defensive issues every game it seems.
    It’s called coaching.
Well yes, but are the players good enough, specifically Jones and the full backs?

    I don’t agree. He’s fucking shit, but he’s still a human being.
Yeah I do feel sorry for him a bit after seeing that. Clearly he's not a good manager, looking at his overall career, but the fingers should be pointed at who hired him and why they made that terrible decision.

Plus, he should never have been hung out to dry like he has been since Saturday.
  • Who could have predicted this appointment wouldn't work out

It reminds me of the season when we were struggling under Karl Robinson who would would not budge from his 4-2-3-1 formation. We then employ Bowyer as manager who opts for a Bob basic 4-4-2 and we all of a sudden start getting results!

The only problem with this season is we don’t have proper full backs who are good enough!
  • Utter shite how he’s been allowed to even manage tonight.

0 points from Burton and Northampton is truly pathetic. I've got no faith in Scott bringing in a decent replacement.

  • Once we’re done sacking Apples can we move on to the Charlton TV cameraman?

Don’t torture me with the idea that something good could happen.
  • Agree. Dont know how Andy gets off Scott free

  • If Powell had walked out to a Valley crowd boosted by the return of a club legend….. the first night with our Charlton back…… Emotions pumping.

    We would have won. 100pc.

And there’s no reason that couldn’t have happened.

Do you actually want him to show you more of what’s happening on the pitch?

    What’s his excuse today?
    Who gets the blame?

    He’ll definitely be sacked now.

I worry that it’s actually gone beyond that now, genuinely worried that this team doesn’t have it in them to keep us up regardless of who’s in charge.
If someone that has a strong connection to the club comes in I believe we would stay up.

Don’t like him as a manager but I certainly don’t like this. Don’t mind the booing but this is a bit much
maybe, but the reaction is understandable imho. Our club is going down the drain and he's the manager.

Could have had a penalty. Could have had 11 men. Could have met a poor keeper. Could have taken the chances.
But could have not let three soft goals in even though five defenders and three defensive midfielders.

The history of the club is shot. An embarrassment.

Charlton would not have lost at home to Northampton.

This. 100pc. It’s what I’ve been saying for ages.

Christ - please do the right thing and LISTEN to this.

I guarantee Powell would get the crowd pumping to stay up. If we bring in someone like Duff etc we are gone.

It’s not scientific now. We are too far gone to rely on anything but Charlton magic now.

    Please.

If anyone is watching Charlton TV, has Appleton done any interviews yet?
    if not, surely that’s it.

We desperately need someone to rally around and who gets the club. I can't think of anyone either playing staff, management or ownership who give two hoots apart from ensuring they get paid and it's been like that for far too long.

Yep you’re right. I know tensions boil over and I get it, just not keen on that and felt sorry for him there but tensions are high and I get that.

    Sacked straight after the whistle?

    Odd.
