Going to be massive when we unveil the signing of Terry Taylor just as the window slams shut.Gravesend_Addick said:Even Sky are going to struggle to hype this up. Most boring deadline day ever8 -
I think we'll sign 1 or 2 more, both probably loans and both almost certainly not 100% match fit0
-
They should just scrap transfer windows9

I find it a bit weird that we bid decent money for Aaron Collins and there doesn’t seem to be any similar link since he joined Bolton. Maybe we’ll be surprised and it’s all kept hush hush, or maybe Collins was the only one they wanted so they’ll wait till the summer now.2

Remember we can sign free agents still after the window closes28

And Bolton were in League Two not so long ago. Shows what can be done with some stability and continuous improvement. We can but dream!Braziliance said:Impressed by Bolton, they've built really well over the years, and now they're in a good position for autos, they're pushing out to try and secure it.
Truly envious at the likes of them and Ipswich over the years.

On that note surely Connor Wickham is worth a punt for 6 monthsMrBurns said:Remember we can sign free agents still after the window closes0 -
Bolton and Portsmoth have put us to shame. Bought quality players, not the old tat that Scott has bought in. He needs to do something in the remaining window time. My guess is that the owners have lost faith in him (A.S) and that no money will now be available to him if that's the case, then Andy Scott, be very afraid6

Love the fact that everyone was kicking off a few days ago that there were too many leaks from the club. Now they've gone water tight everyone is kicking off that there aren't any leaks.20

Caleb Taylor, another rumoured on here over a period of time, has also joined Bolton. On loan.
Disappointing to be losing out but encouraged that the players we are after, they’re well regarded by other clubs that should be at the level of.
The only way we get to that level is by continuing to target the Taylors and Collins and convincing them that Charlton is the place to be.
Difficult right now but that’s what we have to start doing. It worked with Coventry.4 -
Please don't give these lot any ideas incase they're reading 😂IanJRO said:

'Well one Charlton fan, quite rightly, pointed out a team was in league 2 and worked their way back up, even described it as a dream! So now that will be Charltons aim going forwards for the remainder of the season to keep our fans onside.'

That stability was made possible by Eddie Davis writing off £200mil of debt that they were into him for….IanJRO said:

It depends whether there's no leaks because they've tightened their lips, or whether there just isn't anything to leak.Bolderhumphreyreid said:Love the fact that everyone was kicking off a few days ago that there were too many leaks from the club. Unfortunately we’re not going to be able to compete with those clubs at the top end of the league. That’s not Scott’s fault (with reference to this window alone).Melrose said:Bolton and Portsmoth have put us to shame. Bought quality players, not the old tat that Scott has bought in. It’s shaping up to be the finale I can get behind, with talk of this Watford bloke with fitness issues who might not be able to play until April.2

Now you’re just being silly, if they got Ladapo and Coventry we’d be saying i wish we got those.Melrose said:Bolton and Portsmoth have put us to shame. I never feel encouraged by us going after a player that we don't get.4

Yeah to clarify what Bolton did doesn't sit right with me, but I do admire how smart they have been in building their squad, rightly or wrongly..SuedeAdidas said:

Maybe, but Scott doesn't seem to be able to judge player quality. I haver never seen such a poor imbalanced squad. Add to that the appointment of Appleton and you can see why I'm very uncomplementary towards Scott.cafcfan1990 said:

Not signing a striker would be a serious concern. Did they not just watch the last 2 months where we didn’t have a big striker on the pitch? We can’t rely on Aneke so one Ladapo injury puts us back in that position. Very risky1

I usually love going to Cambridge , been a few times, a punt down the old river Cam, a few Chelsea buns in Fitzbillies, the best cake shop going, I absolutely love it!PWADDICK said:That Cambridge away game is gonna be the worst day of my life
However with Lyle Lyle Crocodile , and Macca up front, I ain’t going anywhere near it, it’s a Charlton fans nightmare, with disaster written all over it.😬2 -
This is Charlton Athletic you're talking about. Anything is possible.Croydon said:To lose CBT and not even attempt to sign someone to replace the assists is mental.

Why would there be when we have 3 keepers on our books already?kodfish said:No sign of a no 1 goalkeeper, loan or permanent.
Absolutely deluded to think we'd sign a fourth
We won't sign a 4th but I find it incredible that 6minths into their ownership Scott has bought 3 keepers in and everyone of them is not good enough so it remains one of the weakest parts of our squad.2 -
