Seems like a decent hopefully cheap signing.0
-
He seems to be well rated. Only fan opinions rather than solid rumours but seeing people suggesting him for clubs like Peterborough and Oxford which can’t be a bad thing.2

Kayne Ramsey:
23 year old Hackney born right back who was described as athletic.
Made debut at just 18 at Southampton against Man City !
Is the lad still Hungry to advance his career.

Maybe not, but Dobson might be?soapboxsam said:23 year old Hackney born right back who was described as athletic.

I didn't mean the dodgy parts of course, I meant since they've recovered and the signings they've made.Simonsen said:
Haven't they both been in Administration?Braziliance said:Impressed by Bolton, they've built really well over the years, and now they're in a good position for autos, they're pushing out to try and secure it.
Truly envious at the likes of them and Ipswich over the years.
Should have made that more obvious.0 -
If @RonnieMoore is right (don’t laugh) the fee is 300k, hardly a punt for a League One club.fenaddick said:Never seen him play but stats look solid, young so has good resale value and has played a lot of games this season. Can’t imagine fee will be much so probably worth a punt0 -
Not a chance this is 300k.LargeAddick said:

Plays RB this season in a back 4 so definitely not a wing-back.5

Edit. No he didn't. Sorry0 -
Err, haven't signed him yet have we...🙄BR7_addick said:Seeeee told you a signing might come out of nowhere.0 -
Probably been answered somewhere in 273 posts but how does the medical work?If we had a bid accepted 5 mins ago, the player probably isn't even in his car. Do we send him somewhere to get the medical? Email his agent the contract? Or would he be stuck in traffic in Leeds hoping he gets here in time?0

Perfect for when we end up there next season.ForeverAddickted said:To be fair I read it, and my first reaction thought he was a signing from Non-League and thought he'd be one for the future, before realising that Harrogate are a League Two side now.0 -
Right crack the champagne. That will do.fenaddick said:
I tell you who I wouldn't have minded as an option at right wing back, the lad from Cambridge Corey was up against, Liam Bennett. Thought he was class most of the game.0 -
I think this is where the Data Sheet to the EFL comes into effect - So long as that gets over prior to the deadline, we can get him down here asap and get everything done / announced after 11pm if need beTodds_right_hook said:Probably been answered somewhere in 273 posts but how does the medical work?If we had a bid accepted 5 mins ago, the player probably isn't even in his car. It simply isn't a priority in January for me, or for the club I reckon. We've already swapped out one keeper this transfer window and arguably our number 1 is just returning from injury.kodfish said:
It would be absolutely mental to sell one and sign another at this point.
I would revisit this in the summer when there's more time and scope to get someone better in, but no I'm not deluded for being realistic and understanding that the powers that be aren't going to sign a second keeper in January1 -
This does not prove he's not a capable wing back. All it means is he has been playing in a back 4. Lots of players are capable in more than one role.SELR_addicks said:Plays RB this season in a back 4 so definitely not a wing-back.8 -
I will call it a good window if George is still with us when it slams shut, even better if he signs a contract extension...5

This has to be one of your worst takes.SELR_addicks said:Plays RB this season in a back 4 so definitely not a wing-back.

Gone back to players who I’ve never heard of again.Welcome to the club KR

He could also be an excellent striker. But he's never played the position.Exiled_Addick said:

Closest is a couple of games (4) at the beginning of last season but they quickly reverted back to a back 4 after it didn't work out.4 -
Doesn’t it only give you an extra hour though? I’d suspect in such cases you’d get the player to do his medical at another Club closer to his current club. Saying that if we’ve agreed a fee in the last few hours you’d assume it’s been on the burner since at least early this morning and if so the playe4 would travel down anyway in anticipation of a fee being agreed. Worse case scenario he has to go back home disappointed.ForeverAddickted said:

His season heat map doesn’t look like someone who’s afraid of getting forward.SELR_addicks said:

If Ramsey signs that gives us Watson, Asiimwe, REG and Ramsey who can play RB/RWB. Not really a position we need to strengthen now, would have thought a number 10 and a hold it up striker more important.6

He could well be a future wing-back with successful development and coaching.FishCostaFortune said:

Right now he's not a wing-back. And right now, we don't have the luxury of throwing a couple of games playing square pegs in round holes.4 -
Flashscore rates him quite well.0 -
He’s a class player , this would be one hell a purchase , best businesses of the window now if true7
-
If he’s really out of contract in June we are definitely not paying 300k.ValleyGary said:

WBs are our main source of width in 3-5-2, we need better to make the formation work.LargeAddick said:If Ramsey signs that gives us Watson, Asiimwe, REG and Ramsey who can play RB/RWB. Watson is averageAsiimwe is still only a teenager
REG is mainly a CB
Don’t disagree about the other positions, but WB on both sides also needed strengthening.6
