booo, no Chuks1

It’s the hope that kills you at times1

Not in the squad again today after playing 26, 17, 29 and 30 minutes.
Completely backs up what I said about the ‘play him 30 minutes max’ statements being fallacy.6 -
Should never have signed him the second time.... Don't think we're ever find out the truth of his injury so whatever league where in get rid.6

It was 15 matches left of the season before playing Lincoln and his return to the squad. Never felt he would remain fit for 15, but really hoped he would get nearer to double figures.Waiting to hear what Jones says but can’t imagine it’s anything positives knowing his injury record at Charlton.1

I think this just adds another pile of poo onto the already steaming pile of poo of incomprehensible decisions taken by the Board this season.
Player and Manager recruitment has been beyond shocking. Only Charlton could bring a player like Ladapoodle who would score goals for fun previously and turns out he couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo.

Bang on. That last game was the issue. Should have only been on 29mins and he would be fine.19 -
Well, whatever causes his injuries, at least we've now got Daniel Kanu.3

people jumping to massive conclusions on here as per. See what NJ says tonight before assuming his injured. May just well keeping him fresh for another big game at home on saturday4

You'd probably have him on the bench as an unused sub if not injured in case we were losing with 30 to go.1 -

Especially when your next match is against the worst team in the league at home.8 -

Thomas and Watson both playing with knocks, maybe jones wanted defensive cover? Ladapo could come on and play 80mins if another attacker got injured, chucks can't. Maybe that's why
or
he is injured1 -
Picked up a little something at Derby apparently. I stand corrected

Aneke has a little injury/knock which is being managed - Source Nathan Jones.

Did Jones say ‘you can’t manage him like other humans’ ha ha.9

He's a beautiful human being.

Maybe instead of ‘30 minutes max’ we should only be giving him 20….1
-
It just makes no sense whatsoever to keep him after this season.

I just think if a pay out can be negotiated it makes sense for the club. Personally think we should look to invest elsewhere if financially it benefits us to not keep him.0
-
sods law is that when he does finally leave you just know he will go to a rival team in our league and play every minute of the season scoring 20 plus goals.
5 -
Knowing what his injury record is like whoever decided to resign him and give him a 4 year contract should be shot.3
-
He's highly paid so any cancellation would likely incur enough of a fee that we'd be better off just using him when we can rather than putting a hole in our budget for nothing. Let's say he agrees for a termination for 50% of his year's salary I think he's on over £300,000 a year so can we get a player for £150,000 who contributes more than Chuks does in his brief appearances? Maybe, maybe not, it depends on the market. The problem will always be the contract length was insane8
-
Maybe a sensible approach might have been a pay by match approach. Although on that basis Chuks would be turning up in a three wheel Reliant Robin instead of a top of the range jam jar. As his body ages he sure ain’t going to recover quicker so well done to the mastermind who decided a 3 year contract was a good idea with his track record. Unbelievable.1
