Ah so the Chief Content Officer for the WWE had nothing to do with the content created in the WWE?
Gotcha1 -

Then call others weird.
I would've liked the new era to be built around Cody and the end of the bloodline. Instead of sledgehammering 'btw, if you didn't already know, Vince isn't here and we're definitely a completely different company now in case you're wondering FBI.'
Brian Gewitz, The Rock and Heyman booked the storyline between Rock, Reigns, Seth and Cody very well.Whether you like or don’t like the “new era” branding, he is still leading creative and is clearly very successful at it.
The Rock does what The Rock wants to do. Especially when he's best friends with the owners. Brian Gewitz is his writer and it's been long said that Heyman is the creative for the bloodline story.
And I don’t doubt that The Rock gets what he wants. But that is an exceptional case and he won’t be there every week.
Ultimately, the decisions for who gets pushed, when and how all sit with HHH.
That wasn't HHH. You can talk about 'exceptional case' but it was the case.Did he also have nothing to do with the CM Punk/Drew/Seth story which has also played out really well even with the pivots needed?0 -

Geez I'd think he's your father you're so protective over him. Nothing wrong with Heyman and Gewitz being good at what they do. It's why Heyman is in the Hall of Fame after all.0 -

Look he's in charge of the show. Fitting segments in and booking most of the matches. He doesn't write every piece of television or produce the matches himself. Stop being so precious that the creative may not have come from him. It's a good thing it's not all from one man anymore.0 -

Lol you're as bad as some of the plebs on cageside seats. Maybe you should stop and think about how creative of a wrestling company is a collaborative effort, and as one of the faces of that creative team, it's only natural that HHH gets a lot of plaudits for it, and given he's the one in Gorilla, orchestrating the whole thing when the show is on, he's pretty much "in charge".
Even when Vince was owner he had shareholders to listen to, other people on creative with him and people that helped write the show and the segments, even if he had a lot more say over things than HHH does, the way you're dismissing him is laughable.
Anyway, I wonder how many tickets Tony can sell in Wells Fargo? Reckon he can hit 20k? Oh wait 6 months ago they booked an arena half the size and only sold 5.5k tickets anyway0 -

I'm curious how WWE move in the coming months now that Rock, Reigns, Seth and Punk are all out of the picture for a bit of time. Cody v Sheamus as a first feud wouldn't really bode well for this title run.0 -
That's what got Punk fired and what made TK fear for his life?
🤡1 -
https://youtu.be/9bPHPaCs-GY?si=MOESAt8LPIf4iQDi Jeez, very little happened and Punk's account was right. I think this is the point of no return for the promotion. The new set up for Raw was good but feels strange having no titantron.

Should never have aired it, was a stupid decision. But Punk being sacked was the right decision regardless.3 -
Assault? I've seen worse in primary school playground fights0

I guess because he's now in the WWE we're defending it. Funny stuff.1 -
I think you'll be surprised how often these things happen, it's quite the non-event and not an instant sacking in most lines of work. I imagine brawl-out was far worse.
Is airing this the point of no return for AEW?0 -

Just because other wrestling companies have been run like a carny before, doesn't mean these things should be ok.
'Point of no return' - lol. It's a dumb decision but give it two weeks and no one will care about it.0 -
No one cared about it two weeks ago.
The footage above where Khan feared for his life is a non-event. I imagine brawl out, which led to no dismissals, was far more serious based on rumour and innuendo.
I agree it is run like a carny.0 -
That is pathetic. Fearing for his life?? 😀😀😀😀
He's made himself & the company look even more silly by putting this out in my opinion.
Shouldn't have bothered1 -

Imagine the idea behind it was to control the narrative after the Punk interview but it's better to just focus on your own show. Guy is a nut with anger issues and is best ignored.1 -
Good chance he has people around him (young bucks) telling him to show it.
The footage ties in with what Punk said on the podcast. Calling the decision poor is disingenuous.0 -

He was looking for a way out and they were looking for a reason to fire him.
They've had other backstage fights and haven't fired people because of it0 - Sponsored links:

Honestly can't believe they showed the footage. There are already enough people who think AEW are a joke company & this makes the situation worse for them. TK must have people who told him showing the footage was a good idea.Whoever they are, they need to be fired immediately1

I guess MJF was right and NJPW is an indy.

Interesting reactions in Montreal yesterday, obviously huge pops for Sami and Cody, HHH got a huge hero's welcome, and Sheamus too which was surprising, even he seemed bemused by how much the crowd were into him.0

So glad Gable has turned heel. A hell of a talent stuck with a ridiculous gimmick.0

Really hoping Priest/Jey Uso is a one and done thing. That opening segment on Raw was very rough.Priest just isn’t the guy for that spot. Jey has done very well to carve a singles career, but I can’t help but cringe every time he is on the mic.1

Drew is on fire. Also, I’ve never ever had interest in Sheamus. And then in just one segment with Drew they were able to add some intrigue right away. The Imperium split isn’t something I saw coming. Ludwig Kaiser definitely has something about him though.0
-
I don't think Priest is that weak at talking, the problem is everyone else in and around the main event scene for a while now are great on the mic, The Rock, Cody, Reigns, Heyman, Punk, Seth, Drew all have a way it that he just doesn't.
The draft will offer new matches and new feuds and I can't wait for them to shake it up before it gets stale0
