Perfect fit for him really, also gets on really well with Matt Hardy so it makes sense for him to go back there

    Drew is on fire.

Also, I’ve never ever had interest in Sheamus. And then in just one segment with Drew they were able to add some intrigue right away.

The Imperium split isn’t something I saw coming. Ludwig Kaiser definitely has something about him though.
He does unlike Giovanni Vinci who i assume is being released?!

Priest v Jey is happening because of Punk v Drew. I assume either/both will get involved. Both are getting a chance but i can't see either being the main man.

Superb, and it looks like I've voted for the right person!

Had a look at Clash at the Castle tickets on Wednesday. Cheapest for the Smackdown & PLE double was around £175, which seems very reasonable to me for a show in an arena that small. Even the nosebleeds will have a reasonable view, far better value IMO than a stadium show. Sadly they were all gone, probably to touts, before I could secure one.

That said I'll definitely be trying to secure tickets for a London 'mania.

Where would they hold it? I suspect AEW has a death grip on Wembley shows right now

Tottenham Hotspur stadium are ramping up their non-football events massively.

They may even just try to do a stand alone stadium show knowing they could probably sell it out even without having “Wrestlemania” on the banner.

Also The Emirates and, shudder, The London Stadium. Twickenham has hosted live music as well.

It's their best shot at seeing a title.

    The draft is awful TV.

And it hardly ever makes any sense. The rules are convoluted and make it feel restrictive to anything interesting actually happening.

As if 6-7 people would sit around in a ‘war room’ and decide to pick Nia Jax ahead of most of the roster. At least try and make it feel believable!

Most didn't change brands and the brands don't mean anything anyway as most jump between them over the year! The only ones of slight interest are the NXT stars joining the main roster. If they changed it to just Raw and Smackdown trying to sign NXT wrestlers they may have something. Overall I don't think the fans take the main brands seriously because WWE doesn't.

Yeah a true draft night would be war rooms, the NXT roster as the draftees (and have them "workout" in a combine style thing, maybe wrestling related like who can suplex the most jabronis in a minute or who flies furthest across the ring from a frog splash etc.) and draft them from that, could even have superstars traded between the brands to get more picks, but make it one night only, preferably on a non Raw/Smackdown/NXT night

Backlash may be a great show tonight due to how amazing the French fans are.

Was originally planning to skip through it on Sunday, because the card looks weak. However, the hot crowd yesterday has probably convinced me to watch it tonight.

That noise for LA Knight was ridiculous. I am massive mark for the Megastar, Yeah.

There is another Samoan they've signed who is something special...
  • Average card overall, but the hot crowd was probably the difference to make it enjoyable. Love that they are going to these different countries for PPV’s and the crowd are giving everything to try and get them to return again

Sure if the Brock thing with VKM didn't come out it would have been in Minnesota

I wonder if Hikuleo will come over too, at 6'8 he can be the "muscle" for either side of The Bloodline story

What is it that makes him a dud?

I don’t watch NJPW so am not familiar.

He's not a great worker, he's fine in gimmick matches and in tag matches where there's not a lot of wrestling going on, but he's not exactly Danielson when it comes to technical stuff. Also, stuff like this won't exactly help rid that narrative

Have watched hardly any AEW in the past 2-3 months, when frankly WWE put itself up a few notches around Wrestlemania season and took up my wrestling watching time.

It sounds like now could be a worthwhile good time to start tuning back in again….

Meh, I can catch the MJF segments on social media and avoid seeing Jack Perry getting set on fire with a flamethrower. They've definitively miss him though.

Double or Nothing was pretty good, excellent noisy crowd too. But christ, nearly 5 hours if you count the two buy-in matches, makes me yearn for the days of 2 and a half hour PPVs.

If it's real, I reckon MJF might regret that tattoo in a few years 😀
