  • May be true, class but poor attitude etc., but he was still someone the oppo defenders were scared of and we don't have a replacement.

I can't believe the agreement allowed anything other than a sale to someone else, this was supposed to be a season long loan.

I think the situation we are in we should not be playing with out and out wingers anyway we should have a midfield like in the early 2000's which was tight and compact that the opposition couldn't get through, almost 4 centre mid's playing. Also you can have all the talent in the world but if you've not got the right attitude you may as well not be there. If i was an opposition player I wouldn't be scared of him as I'd know from watching our game once he'd done a few good things if as a team we had survived them he would switch off and we would never see him in the game again, bar Reading at home I can't rememner him doing it for a full 90 min's.

Moral issues don't concern Birmingham City. The Millwall of the midlands.

    Here's my take:

    1) Bouazza joined us because he thought we were one of the big clubs in the CCC - and were going to challenge for promotion. The last thing he expected was to be slogging it out with a team bottom of the League.

    2) There has been friction between him and other players. Parky has been disappointed with his attitude.

    3) He was one of the high earners at Charlton.

    4) The Birmingham offer meant that he could be back in the limelight of the promotion race.
Brum could be promoted and he could earn a contract with them.

    5) Regardless, he wants to be playing for a Prem club next season - and this is his shop window.

Agree with all of that, Oggy. Although regardless of (2), he was still one of the first names on Parky's team sheet every single game. Perhaps that tells us a lot about the lack of other options...

I don't blame Bouazza or Brum. It's business and a man's career. A successful season at a promotion chasing side can guarantee you another contract. Whether I think such average players like Bouazza should be earning a fortune is another matter. Unfortunately it's the market-place. It would be nice to have physically ready and tenacious youngsters like Middlesboro or Luton; who have had these for years. I think we'd all prefer to see money going into the back pocket of committed home grown youngsters.

Although I do think the board behave more appropriately than most let's not forget that we unsettle players with the financial carrot. Maybe Burnley played the game as well I don't know, but we certainly drew Andy Gray out with an unhealthly large wage packet.

almost certainly the overriding factor for the player and probably Fulham who obviously don't want him but want best money for him
  • Thought the geezer was a show pony who couldn't a f*ck to be honest. Summed him up when he blasted that chance over against Derby. Rather than trying to score a simple goal, he went for the money shot for the camera's. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Massively divided opinion on thios one but personally despite thinking he was at times lazy, at times lacked compsoure, he was one of the very few players who you felt could actually create something good. I think he'll be a loss.

    What were we paying then?

spot on - who's going to unlock the Forest defence tomorrow?

    Shelvey, if he plays?

Sam, if he has one of his good days?

    can't think of anybody else.......

    Matthew Spring?
  • dont care how good he was. we need people that love being at our club. would rather have a team of chris powell's (holland needs respect too) that the crowd can idolise/respect, than a bunch of so-called stars that only signed for top dollar wages and will leave as soon as a bigger/more prosperous club shows interest. i cant deny a man a career break but a career player is what we need. all great teams have them (not always successful teams) and they inspire their peers.

Was never going to break through at Fulham, Championship winger at best right now. Interesting move for him, permanent as well.

    from Wiki

On 23 August 2009, Sivasspor released Bouazza. Bouazza declared he wanted to leave due to personal issues. Sivasspor head-coach Bulent Uygun said they had to release Bouazza as they didn't want him to damage the team.
  • "But after playing in their Europa League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk, Bouazza informed Sivasspor that he did not wish to remain in Turkey and they agreed to terminate his contract."

Did he not realise this before signing?!

Signed for Blackpool. Should be interesting to see how Holloway handles him.

So that's Ishmel Demontagnac and Bouazza fighting it out (perhaps literally) for the left wing spot.
