    This feels a weird thread... its the League Cup, we've always done shite in this competition, regardless if Alfie May scores once or 25-goals this season... All the best to him.

    Our season as a whole wont hinge on this game, or competition

    We did reach the qf a couple of years ago.

    It’s almost like you’re giving the impression you’d rather lose the game to be able to say you were right about a striker who’s never played in the top two tiers of English football.

    I hope Charlton Athletic is soon to be in a place that Alfie May is insignificant.

    We did reach the qf a couple of years ago. 
    Yeah I think there was a massive breakdown in the space / time continuum for that to happen - Results against Newport etc. have been the norm for us over time in that competition, reaching the QFs is a massive exception.

    Even when we were a Premier League side.

    Just checked the "matches" link on the OS and the match is to be played on Tues 13th August, not the 12th.....
