Free Charlton Athletic Football Club tickets for local residents
Residents can apply for free tickets to home games at Charlton Athletic, our local League One football club.
Tickets are limited and issued on a first come, first served basis. Due to high demand, you can only apply once, and we are only able to consider one application per household. Tickets are for the person named only and cannot be passed on or sold to others.
To apply, email beverley.marchant@royalgreenwich.gov.uk. Include your:
- name
- address
- mobile number
Available dates

24 August | Bolton Wanderers |
7 September | Rotherham United |
21 September | Blackpool |
5 October | Birmingham City |
19 October | Stockport County |

The tickets are available to residents as part of our Greenwich Supports campaign to help people during the cost-of-living crisis.

Greenwich Council must hate its residents.22

Will be interested to see how this helps to boost attendances, if at all? I went along 37 years ago with a now good friend and neighbour with no expectation of the suffering and moments of jubilation I would become addickted to. We can but hope some residents turn up for big home wins and get that same itch.

It would be interesting to know how many free tickets are available per game.

Interesting that the free tickets are available for all the top ‘Gold’ level games only0

I think it is a great idea. Bums on seats. And hopefully a few return.4

I just hope that the club and local authority have the correct processes and resources in place for the inevitable rise in demand for help with trauma and Mental Health issues.
Is MIND a partner in this scheme?2 -
Great idea. It’s not like there’s a shortage of empty seats!0

I think there should be a provision whereby if they get a free ticket they have to make their parking space available! Seriously, it's not a bad idea to try and attract new fans. We certainly have plenty of scope to offer freebies. I am hoping there will be some offers for freebies to season ticket holders too this coming season.1

I'm surprised the club are allowed to run a discriminatory ticketing promotion based on postcodes. Not a complaint just an observation.10

Not a fan of freebies , the system will be abused.2

Well they went quick, mate of mine that lives 2 mins from The Valley applied and they were all gone for the date he picked. Would imagine there were not many available rather than a huge demand within a hour of posting the offer.0

Mate of mine got free season ticket given to him by Cray Wanderers for living near new ground. He is also Charlton season ticket holder and has been for decades.0

Being a bit of a misery does anyone know how many tickets and in which stands. I ask this as I have had to on a few occasions politely ask people to move as they have parked their backside on my seat. Some didn't want to move.
I am happy for this type of promotion as long as it doesn't result in annoying season ticket holders.0 -

Sod ‘em, bloody nimbys, they’re the ones that voted in the councillors who make it harder for our fans to park on matchdays 😁1
