I felt exactly the same as @AFKABartram up until a few days ago.
Especially after the marathon of the Euros and going round Germany for best part of a month. Was ready for a break.
That said, I know hardly anything about the signings we’ve made and haven’t really paid any attention to much Charlton news in the last month. So I guess that will give this game a bit of novelty that I won’t have much idea about what to expect.3 -

Tickets
We’ve sold over 2,000 tickets so far – including 700-plus to Charlton .
General admission will be from 1.30 pm for both Dons and Charlton supporters.
Gates 1,2 and 3 will be open for home fans, with gate seven for away fans.
Charlton supporters can buy tickets on the day with collections and sales from the away ticket booth (by gate 6).

If your starting point is Wimbledon then you’ve got a choice of supermarkets including another Waitrose along the way if your are walking and a Liddl directly opposite the ground before you then have to walk around to where the away end is. There’s also a Starbucks and a Greggs next to it if you want to catch a breath and have a rest before trekking to the away end
No idea if your starting point is Earlsfield as I don’t go there to shop. It’s basically a long road of shops etc serving a surrounding comparatively affluent clientele who are clearly keeping 4 pubs in close proximity in business so I suspect there’s going to be one or two off licences along the way.

I suspect a lot of people are in that switched off summer mind zone for forward planning to go a game that’s subconsciously routinely set to only switch back on again when the season starts. 700+ presold is pretty impressive and given people can wake up this morning, see the sun shining and want to get out and about, know it’s an easy journey and there’s at least 600 tickets available on the day they will start to fancy going to the game. That number should go past 1,000 quite easily by kick off.1 -

its the pub that’s benefited most from the development of Earlsfield/Tooting/Wandsworth over the last 10 years.

It's a pre season friendly, so those are perfectly respectable numbers.
If this was an Bristol Street Motors EFL Trophy game, an actual competitive match, I can't imagine the number being much higher.4 -

No mate. It’s about 5 minutes. Come out the pub and turn right and just loops round. Earlsfield station is probably only 15/20 mins walk to the groundse9addick said:

We’ll have a couple of pints and a pub lunch up on the Common in a couple of Oliver Reed’s old haunts, the Hand in Hand and the Crooked Billet. If there’s time, we’ll hop on the bus to an excellent real ale and community pub, The Sultan (if not, we’ll go there for a post-match jar). The Sultan is a very pleasant 20-25 minute walk from the ground. I recall bumping into a fellow supporter and a regular from the River Ale House (Clive, I think) before our league game at Plough Lane in April 2022.
