I'm surprised it's that many. Looks less and should be more.

I'm sure this is influenced by the parking and ulez restrictions.

Thank god we’ve scored and we’re winning otherwise the Alfie chat would be in full flow
And not even any mention of Scott Fraser ?

All 13 subs staying out and warming up in the sunshine, wonder if we'll still see the mass changes around an hour or so

Gas is the new Stockley, looks to be a real asset at defending set pieces
    I hope he’s a lot more Yann than Stockley…
I meant for the set pieces, not his overall talent and ability (though Stockley's first season with us was pretty good, his back injury really messed up his effectiveness for us)
Yeah I know, but Yann offered that too as well as being a much better player. Could even score from free kicks that he took as well as with his head.

I'm gonna guess that Ahadme won't be anywhere near as good as Yann but better than Stockley.
  • Hope Ramsey stays fit all season, really rate him
Do we know if he was a Jones suggestion like Thierry? Would make sense

Enjoyed that first half. Coventry putting in some decent tackles and good distribution, Ahadme is causing their CB's some issues, TC took his goal well, Ramsey has been excellent and Doc is a vocal Capt. All round this is a pleasing performance. Let's see what happens 2nd half.

I’d be happy with that, Yann was a regular in Bournemouth’s Championship title winning team. Ahadme’s young enough to improve too.
  • Played well can already see we are a different team for the better love the press fight and passion and that comes from Jones aswll who has been entertaining all half
    very impressed so far

    come on you redsssss

I would be surprised if NJ brought on more than five subs

    Back under way. No changes.
  • I'm liking Terry's analysis of our first half and interesting comparison of TC with Ademola...🤔

Sammy Silvera fires well off target from the edge of the area, under heavy pressure. Charlton had a couple of set-pieces whipped into the Pompey box before that.

Seems unlikely but it would be good if he had the potential to improve and be a threat .  I still think with 5 defenders , you can get away with 3 forwards

2-0! Dodgy keeper strikes again :)
ETA although that doesn't give Ramsay and Campbell enought credit for the pass, the run and the cross.

Ball up the right hand side of the pitch, the keeper caught in no mans land and TC crosses nicely for Gas to head home with a placed diving header into an empty net

Boom! Again a big tick for TC, and great for Ahadme to score.

I wonder if Pompey might be after Begovic now...
  • Second fuck up of the game from the Pompey keeper. Campbell did well though to find Ahadme.
