You can bet your life it will go the other way this week.
    CHAMPIONS 🏆🥇
I’ll only settle for that if we back it up by winning the FA Cup. Anything else is failure.

I will settle for what Ipswich has done in the last two seasons

Erk, looked a bit dangerous there, and it took Mannion 2 goes to get the ball under control, but safe in the end.
And now we have the bus queue of subs.

One thing that might concern fans, Kanu wearing 11 which was Leaburn's number last season.

Could be nothing in it whatsoever of course

They were rightfully criticised for a poor performance last week. Including by Nathan Jones, and Greg and Terry.

Watson with a pinpoint cross onto Aneke's bonce 6 yards out but he powers it over

Aneke's heading is actually pretty average for someone with his power.

Oof. Nice cross from Watson, but Aneke's header's over the bar

I will say this only once:

The performance and relationships all over the pitch are more important than any result today despite the disaster to triumph reaction of so many on CL or other outlets.

Criticism is/was fine - it was deserved.

Doom and gloom about the whole upcoming season was too far from some posters.

Oh dear, nearly 3-0, Chuks really should have scored with a header on the edge of the 6 yard box from a lovely Watson cross, but puts it over the bar...🤷‍♂️

Jones takes a bad foul and pops up doing the Lewisham Limp, looked like he wanted to knock the pompey lad out for a second or two

Could he be finally getting his hands on the 8 shirt his Dad wore at times.  HE ISN'T ALLOWED TO LEAVE.

His rise to the first team was one of the few bright spots over the last two seasons.

Just like losing to Wimbledon was a bit catastrophised by some, it's important to nor get too carried away by the score today.

That said, it's good that when Jones said he was disappointed by last time 1) he actually meant it 2) has been able to work on it, unlike the Holden/Appleton era of one bad result causing 4 or 5 more in succession.
  • Small has looked like he has had the bit between his teeth since he came on.
