Edwards got himself 4 goals and 9 assists last season playing a mixture of LM, LB and CB.
Interestingly, all his goals and assists came when playing as a winger. Where he played most games.

Never would've guessed - not because I doubt his attacking ability but his defending seemed so solid this preseason

The idea we can take out the likes of Small and bring in Edwards, or take out Ahadme and bring in Leaburn/Godden/Kanu... is crazy. That's going to drive performances as they fight for a place.
Just goes to show you CAN have competition in the squad in L1. You don't need one set of first teamers and a bunch of squad players.

Haha good point. Maybe Matthews when he wanted another year and Gunter when he first came in and we kept a few clean sheets - Inniss and Famewo were apparently the best CBs in the league
