Fernando Morientes.

Am I going completely mad or at some point was there a press conference type thing where Morientes was wearing a Charlton shirt? I have a feeling it may have been to do with either the Jona or Llanera deals or maybe both. 

I’ve searched for the picture online and no sign of it.

    And at Villa Park rather than Wembley.

    So apart from the fact it was pep not Morientes and it was at Villa Park and not Wembley I was absolutely right…

    Dimly remember a photo shoot when we got the Joma kit deal, and there was a notable Spanish player there as he had a boot deal with them. Started all sorts of rumours as you might imagine!

    Morientes did. 

    Then he signed for Liverpool and was having a bad season until he came to The Valley and I think he scored twice.

    The picture of Michael Portillo was taken in Berwick on Tweed - Royal Border rail bridge in the background.  Has the secret behind Berwick Rangers superb start to the season been uncovered - Portillo assisting the management team with his Bradshaws "Training" guide  ??!!!

    After having never seen a Charlton shirt in Berwick in 10 years, last weekend saw two separate people and was able to speak with both guys - a welcome sight amoungst all the Newcastle strips you get here now

    Played 3 won 3 I believe in the Lowland league.

    I spent more time than I’d like to admit searching for this but thanks to spending a lot of my youth rewatching our old season review VHS’s I remembered it was a feature at the end of one, history dictates it would of been the 02/03 season so had a look and found it :)
