A great win away against a good side, who will certainly be in the top 10. I thought that Josh Edwards had an absolute horse of a game.

Text book win ugly away win.

The importance of clean sheets writ large, right there.
I remember feeling positive last season with a couple of ugly wins. First manager since Curbs with that ruthless streak.

Is having a horse of a game a good thing or bad?
  • Not pretty to watch is it but three points at a tough place to go can’t be knocked. Defensively we look pretty solid which is what I thought we’d be but we won’t score many goals will we.

  • That was a quality win.

Wigan looked a good side, but never really like scoring either.

Fingers crossed we are going to be real hard bastards to beat this year.

An ugly 1-0 away win, is exactly the sort of performance missing in recent years

Had to watch the game on a tablet since was not on my Sky+HD box despite my account telling me I had the Sports package with Sky Sports+ and then they missed the end of the game - and now Sky will ruin next Saturday with the early start.  Useless bunch!

On the other hand DEEE FENCE!

I’m just researching the animals in football analogies.  I understand sick as a parrot and neither rabbit nor donkey is a compliment, chaps may play like lions or tackle like tigers or just chicken out, but does horse = good??

Ha, I went to post a pic then realised I had about 80 Mr Tumble, Sooty, Peppa Pig and Thomas DVDs in the cabinet.

    I haven’t even got kids…
