Apologies, life is super busy at mo and we are well behind the curve in terms of being ready for this season, so apologies for lack of preview. Hopefully the East Terrace numbers bloke will start his match thread a bit earlier today instead.

Who is going?
Who is watching it on the telly box?
Who is ignoring it?

I have a bug - it’s called CAFC - so will be going + 3, one of which is an Oxford ST holder. Expecting a team shake up, but as long as Birmingham do the same, every chance we’ll win. I think the Brum will take this more seriously than us, so 1-2 reverse.

    Predicted team:

                            Mannion

            REG          Jones        Edwards

    Watson                                                 Small

                                Taylor

               Docherty (C)           Berry

                Godden                  Kanu

Is Jones the type of manager that will take every game seriously, or will he use this to test fringe players/youth?

Not really bothered either way to be honest.

There's no under 21s in the League Cup?

I had to edit that message at least three times. Forgive me, I'm on holiday and already had a fair few beers...
  • Personally think he should take it seriously. League cup is the easiest for a decent run and to meet a "big" club to help the coffers.

Could see 11 changes potentially, with a team of:

    AMB
    Watson Asiimwe Z.Mitchell REG Small
    Taylor Edun
    Berry
    Kanu Godden

Wouldn't be the most balanced side we've ever seen, but it would give minutes to everyone, and I'm not sure how much emphasis NJ will put on cup games
  • East Terrace numbers bloke!!🙄...do it y'self
  • Win this & draw West Ham away in the next round is my prediction

    Up the addicks!
  • I had a look at ticket sales yesterday

I reckon Brum might outnumber us 😂

Would expect a lot of changes for both teams so a difficult one to call but would say their strength in depth is better than ours

  • Going, as am going to miss the first two league home games due to being away.. Not sure what to expect, but just happy to get out of the house and sit in a different stand....

    Got my tickets.

Expect the same 18 as Saturday but with a bit of rotation.

A short but profitable cup run would be fun but the league is the priority.

Charlton to win on penalties after a 1 - 1 draw.

Going as for once I can actually get to a home game, very rare these days.  My daughter is also coming with me, along with a mate, so happy days.

Taking the Mrs. Her first game in 20 years on her first trip to the UK. That was to a full Valley in the Premier League. She'll notice the difference tonight!
