Weary? Was that a Freudian slip? :-)Riviera said:Considering recent food news I'd be very weary of any mass produced pie.

I wonder at what bargain price you can buy their pies for at the ground? 😉🙂1

If you have a nectar card (and am feeling desperate) you can get one of these for £1.50 in Sainsbury's.
The only non meat Pukka pie worth considering in my view, but they tend to be hollow, and pretty naff.
As I say, if you're desperate. Their Vegan ones are very poor in my opinion.

Gave up on Pukka pies when they followed the trend with Steak and Kidney pies by using only minced kidney, no discernible pieces of the delicious offal.
More flavour than with no kidney at all but the texture's all wrong
Anybody know where a true gormande can get a Steak and Kidney pie with actual chunks of kidney??0 -
My favourite pie from a game was the hairy one in the White Horse, Wycombe a few years ago.6

Best pies I've ever had, and I've had A LOT0 -
Don't do many aways nowadays, but when I did the Lancashire/Yorkshire meat and potato pies ruled supreme.0

Meat pies from Kennedy's on Rye Lane, Peckham. Never bettered. Apart from maybe their cheery pie for dessert0

Exeter away pies are decent (as are the pasties and the sausage rolls)0

Can't wait to pay £5 for a pie I could get for a quid in Tesco.2
