many thanks to the 104 Lifers who gave marks, some time since we were centurions
I know we either hit the post or crossbar however there is no reference to it in the commentary nor on the Sky highlights, if you know for sure then let me know and I'll amend the records.

Amazing how these marks add up, Edwards scored better than TC, Docherty and Ahadme, and he was only on the pitch for 28 minutes...🙄
Also, what an embarrassing mark for the ref 3.77...still too high though...

Regarding hitting the woodwork, it was Kayne Ramsay and his deflected shot hit the very corner of post and crossbar.

The official stats from Opta have it down as a “blocked shot” in the 71st minute from Kayne Ramsay.

If it had gone in, Ramsay would still have been claiming it you can bet on that...

Ahadme with the lowest score by a decent distance. Hopefully we see an improvement.

Both goals this season have come late on, showing both our much improved fitness, but also our strong bench.

I thought Campbell caused them a lot of problems and Docherty played well

I think the number 79 next to Thierry Small's name should be in the column to the right of the one it's in

I suspect it is the lowest score ever for a ref in a game we have won!

Of course. It was heading towards the goal before it was blocked, therefore it wouldn’t have been scored by Owen Goal.

Thanks I’ll amend the original- my PC’s curser has a mind of its own and jumps as I type; of course I should contact Apple to try and cure the problem

Have we generously assigned the assists to Cov and Watson as can't see them on any official channels. (No problem if we have, but noticed the difference on Beeb etc.)

It’s better than the CBs all being in the bottom 3

don't understand your remark re Beeb, I assign assists where I think they should go and IMHO Watson and Coventry touched the ball just before the scorers

As stated, just checking as no assists have been registered by Charlton so far this season. BBC (Beeb) use press association stats and I noticed we had 0 so far and yet on the Statbank, we have 2.

I know you apply assists where you feel they fit, and that's all I was checking, as I also thought at least for Berry's goal an assist should have been officially registered.

The crucial touch to lay it into the path for Berry came from the Orient defender, Coventry barely touches it. Same as Wigan, it was their defender who had the crucial touch to play it into Jones’ path.

Thank you for the various comments re assists and please keep them coming.
This is the one area of the stats where LL rules apply and it my little enjoyment ( doesn't take much :)) My guide is as follows:
The last cafc player to touch the ball before the scorer, that touch can be deliberate or not.
A score after a free kick or penalty the assist goes to the player who was fouled.

I am quite happy for you lot to tell me I'm wrong but that is the way it is - LL rules OK
  • I wonder how many L1 sides have been promoted without a dead-ball specialist? We cant even manage one who can beat the 1st man.

We don't need anything as fancy as a specialist we just need somebody competent at kicking a stationery football towards a target about 20 yards away.
Based on the last couple of seasons these are like rocking horse shit among all these full time professional ball kickers who have been training with footballs practically daily since they were at primary school!
