Well this has gone a fair way off piste.

While I'm here, does anyone want to see a picture of my surgical bunions?

How long does an X Ray take and for it to be assessed?

They must know by now the extent of his injury, time to feed the masses!

Or are they being a tease?
For this type of injury it will be assessed straight away by a senior radiographer. If it’s a fracture the on call radiologist will be consulted with input from the orthopaedic team to assess the need for surgery. If the investigation is done in a private clinic a radiologist will be present but the surgical input would be the same.
I realise it’s not as simple as I make out.

I hadn’t thought about this before but presumably the club sends players to private specialists, rather than A&E? Or do they employ relevant people and I’m not talking about Will Abbott?

Ah bollocks to it, if we’re comparing leg wounds………..🤣🤣🤣

I'm in awe of you Silly billy and the ability of CL to go from a late tackle by Clare on Josh Edwards and the ability of the tangent to go from a possible sprained ankle-ligament damage-fracture- to being leg less !

Only that great WW2 flyer Douglas Bader can win this contest and like a certain cafc centre forward of recent times was better in the air than on the ground 🤦‍♂️

Just to confirm I am liking that his has lifted the spirits, not that you have had a crappy couple of days! Life can be shit sometimes and CL can be a bit of a refuge. Hope things get better for you soon.

Same as I had 30 years ago - but I had one big fuck off screw going right through the ankle too.

I used to carry it around as a good luck charm until it got confiscated at US Customs

The club has used private medical diagnostics for many years. For sure on an injury like this one he would have been seen straight after the game. The club will know what the situation is already, I suspect we won't be told until until the next game... unless something leaks out from inside the club.

I'm sure Johnny Robinson took his pen at Wembley with a fracture, they found out after the game.
I think Curbs knew about the injury that's why Robbo didn't start the game.
I think you guys are completely misremembering this…

robbo broke his leg in march I think, and was out for 2 months… he was just about fit for Wembley, which was his first game back after RECOVERING from the fracture. That’s why he didn’t start… (and that’s why we signed Neil Heaney on loan for the run in)
And Neil Heaney fractured Mauricio Tarrico’s nose, allegedly….
Definitely according to Danny Mills last week.

No idea why we didn't sign Heaney permanently and why his career fizzed out after he left. I thought he was superb for us.

I thought he was a pretty lightweight winger who offered nothing defensively. From memory his one trick was beelining into the area from his wing and winning us penalties (not a bad trick mind).

When I was in Charlton youth squad, I had to have a cartilage out of one knee and other knee checked. I was sent to the hospital in Greenwich, cannot remember which one, on the bottom road from Deptford, in 1960.  It was a NHS hospital but they had a surgeon who did all of their operations. I was visited by Charlie ????, who was in charge of medical problems at Charlton, after the operation.
