Someone else said it but I don't see why they don't just call off all matches for the international break and play the EFL Trophy games on those weekends instead while playing the league games on the midweek dates currently pencilled in for the trophy games.

What with more internationals at this level and more money being spent it's time for the lower leagues to really take a good look at themselves and reform the fixture schedule at this level and even League Two.

7 off, 3 on from looking at the fixture list.
If only 3 are on, surely that means 9 are off given there should be 12 fixtures per weekend?
  • Anyone know if it will it be on Sky as it’s an international break weekend? Charlton to was allowed to show the game in those circumstances last season.

That was a count from Saturday's fixture list on bbc for Sat 7th.

There would have been a full 12 fixtures arranged. For some reason if games are games are postponed early, they get removed completely from the fixture list.

Micha M'bick is seventeen years old. Not even eighteen until November.
Not only has he more growing to do, which will develop his already impressive physique further, but at 17 he still has a lot more senior and semi senior experience to bank.
What were any of us like at 17? Wouldn’t he be in year 13 at secondary school right now? Working towards his A-levels.
If he plays games this season surely it will be an occasional appearance in order to keep the team and the player in equilibrium?
Much as we want M’bick and Casey and others in the team to do what others don’t seem to be doing, it is unwise to rush these things too much.
It seems to me that Micha has had a good start to this season, and at the moment is in a good place for him (he would still qualify for years more at U21, and qualifies for the U18’s).
I would leave him be right now, not look at him yet as an asset to be exploited, but a promising player to be nurtured.
