We often hear the word community used to describe the local community, the gay community, even the Charlton community.
Do you feel part of one or more "community" and if so which ones or is the whole concept of community false.

anyone else or do you feel part of your town or street's community.0 -
ketman, surely the clubbing community, or the community that you play your records/cd's to on a friday night, you're part of that!
thats a community
as is a fanbase of a band/team etc
well i think so anyway. its not quite family, but people you can connect with as you have an interest with them. even if you don't speak, you're still there all together for the same reasons essentially!0 -
I think I am struggling with the full meaning of the word 'community'. I play to a crowd each week which can be full of different faces not many the same from week to week. I suppose the other mob I play for or go clubbing with once every six weeks where everybody knows everybody could be classed as near to a community as anything. Although I am not sure the things we get up to at these gatherings would impress our Henry or be regarded as communal ! LOL0

I look out for people as best I can, not because I feel that we should live in a community, but because treating each other decently and with a fair level of understanding as much as possible is what I think us humans should be doing for each other. If that attitude gets labelled as being pro-community then so be it. It is too idealistic a term for me.

Sco You are such a well rounded loving individual Sco. You sound too good to be true, cos you're quite handsome too.
(Just an observation tav).
Anyway i feel part of my community, I adore my downstairs neighbour, he was more upset than me when i got burgled.
I love walking down charlton lane yelling hello to a few mates who live down there. in fact i know 7 different households on that one road, probably cos we all drink in our local community pub so we have all gotten to know each other.0 -
Is it serious between you and Tav, B? (lol - thanks!).0
