Moved to Wilsonians this year I think!
  • I quite liked him for us, a shame that his career did not pan out as he possibly would have wanted.

Tareiq Holmes-Dennis was highly rated when he was in the CAFC Academy. After Joe Gomez, Tareiq was the next name mentioned to go on to bigger and better things. Unfortunately injuries and one game at the valley when he received two yellow cards in 10 minutes after coming on as Sub meant he fell out with the manager at the time.

Left wing back would've been ideal for him and still only 28 but fate played a part in his demise.
Just 85 league games and one England U18 app to show for his professional career.

Glory and fortunes to be made in the Premier but plenty of heartache and disappointment for the mass of Academy lads.

He was one of the players who stood out in the odd FA Youth Cup game I saw about 15 or so years ago.

Not quite as impressive defensively as Solly but thought he had the potential to be a solid attacking wing back, comfortable on the ball and had decent pace.

Sadly he never properly got going at any club and injuries led to his retirement. Good to see he’s back playing even if at a much lower level.

Interesting thing is Corinthian Casuals are amateur (as the name suggests) so he must be playing for enjoyment, expect there are clubs out there where he could earn a decent non-league wage if he wanted to.

Tareiq made  Bannon look a right mug Lol
  • I remember Tareiq being the next big thing, whereas Morgan Fox was rather derided. 10 years later Fox is still a Championship regular.

Then we had Archie Edwards who rejected a move to Man Utd to stay with us.

With Tareiq and Archie, it felt like we had two really decent young Left-Backs coming through, Archie of course never made it with us either, so maybe he should have gone to Manchester

Didn't Tareiq get a major knee injury soon after he joined Portsmouth, which eventually ended his professional career, hence not having the Fox career.
