Hi all.
Was wondering if for one pards recieved abuse from supporters on saturday, there seemed to be a bit of talk about it, and more importantly if Parky is recieving vocal suport in the manner of his name being chanted by the valley faithfull?

Thanks.

no parky didnt get one chant at all. Shame.

Pardew got a few boos and an odd little chant but very tame and he has said he didnt even hear it.

He was received back in an atmosphere of understanding and forgiveness, a positive determination to let bygones be bygones, and an acceptance from the Valley crowd that he'd done his best in difficult circumstances. NOT.

There was some support for Parky (give us a wave), but most was invective directed at Pards (you're not super any more, Pardew you're a c**t, and you're going down with the Pardew). Got the balance about right yesterday, back to supporting Parky full on next time.
  • Parky did get a "parky give us a wave" chant and he responded by waving.
  • Thank you gents.

Saints fans seem to think they were making noise throughout and that we only sung when we scored.

Completely the opposite if you ask me.

thought our support wasn't great and Pardew got off very lightly. saints' fans were quiet as well though.

We made more noise in the second half though when the performance picked up and the momentum was with us.

I've never once heard an away fan say "you lot were loud" even after games when we've clearly been giving it our all.

I think it's a combination of the acoustics and the pride of the away fans not wanting to admit they've been out sung.
    (but mainly the acoustics)

I would have loved to hear a proper song for Parky on Saturday though, rather than the unimaginative Pardew ones.

On the half way line that's how it seemed to me too.

Suppose it's easy to say we were loud from the J .

The drum & trumpet need to be there every week.

    Even when we're not playing.

I was close to the away end and they were not very loud at all. Could hear Covered End over the Saints who aside from the odd 'when the saints go marching in', were a lot quieter than they usually are. Normally they are some of most vocal away fans but not on sat
