Gillesphey in a back four worries me but still prefer it to five at the back I suppose

6 forwards and we have Mbick on the bench. Super.
  • Club say that Lloyd Jones has a "short-term leg injury" and Aneke "a minor niggle"#cafc

Campbell and Godden as a pair up front is awful for a promotion chasing side.  Which lets face it, we've struggled to be so far.

Was really confused about who was playing LWB until I remembered we're not playing 352 anymore. Out of interest for the statisticians, what's the earliest golfie's ever started on his nonsense on the match thread? 2.08pm seems early but I'm not a historian

If back four, is Edwards or Gillesphey centre with Mitchell

I am a bit worried Barry might make mincemeat of him and Mitchell, neither of whom are very quick

I think Jones is a big miss today and personally feel T Campbell always has more impact as a sub

    Isn’t Gillesphey number 3?

Jay Mingi for Stockport was also one of our U21s

Only Charlton could come out of a two week international break with more injuries than we went into it with!

The depth of the squad means the alternatives are decent but worrying to be starting with so many key players missing and no Chuks to work his super sub magic.

Mingi, Bate, Norwood and Powell is a pretty good midfield for this level.

What’s his odds on first goal scorer?

Is he? Three enforced changes in Jones, Kanu and Coventry being unavailable and everything else is the same. Like for likes as far as possible to replace the missing players.

He can't help changing the team due to injuries/suspensions.

Also got Jack Diamond on the bench who was a promising winger @ Sunderland

    Good spot ...

Jesus. Doesn't take long for us to be relying on kids to come off the bench & rescue a point.

So weak. Both starting 11 & bench.

Might stay on the bus. Only problem is its final destination is Belmarsh.
Stay on bus and amuse the inmates when you get there 😁
Have you heard of the Geneva Convention?

He's changed position and is now known as Jack Box.

Only at Charlton can we have a fortnight off and end up with two main players out injured.

I like the look of Campbell and Godden up top... Tyreece did well to continue the good work that Kanu set by pressing from the front vs Birmingham, so hope he can continue that
I think he needs a goal FA, will give him some much needed belief that he can play in that position.
