I do sometimes think our players come on here, read some of the things people decide to post and lose on purpose out of principle. I don’t really blame themsam3110 said:
You're right. I really enjoyed Anderson's goal that was saved by the keeper.ForeverAddickted said:
No need to be pedantic when its not needed... It doesnt make you look kleversam3110 said:
Not an assist if it didn't assist a goal is it.ForeverAddickted said:
TC had a shot deflected narrowly wide, and there was that Taylor assist that somehow went over the bar instead of finding a Charlton player.sam3110 said:
And yet how often have we properly tested them? The one soft shot from TC and the header from Anderson?CAFCsayer said:
Harsh, we have been the better team by a milesam3110 said:Our entire game plan appears to be passing sideways until the opposition are bored to death, then punt it nowhere in particular
"By a mile" is a massive reach
It's called a pass6 -
tHAT tel bloke is even worse, his whole insight and understanding of football revolves around the refSillybilly said:
Absolutely. He’s a nightmare. Can’t understand why we haven’t sacked him off by nowArsenetatters said:I'm fed up with Brownie going on and on. Just let me listen to the comentary FFS2 -
0-3 this. We are always 1-2 injuries away from being a very mediocre/ sh*t side, despite what Jones says.
Hope he proves me wrong.0 -
Scoreline is unfortunate but that was basically a decent first half from us and builds on the Birmingham performance. We’ve controlled possession, restricted them to nothing except the penalty (which on another day may not have even been given), have not reverted to the constant long balls we saw before Birmingham, and have worked a few openings through good passing and movement. Yes, the final moment of quality hasn’t quite been there yet, but we know we’re a work in progress so if you see progress (which we have today) then you have to give credit for that. Still plenty of time to win this or at least get a point.4

Leaburn needs to come on for Anderson or Campbell, switch Tyreece to the wing, two many similar players in midfield. As for our two central defenders, bloody shocking, Stockport have not threatened and those two still look shaky. Another test of management for Jones, he needs to create a more offensive side this half, we can break them down but not with a flat midfield.1

i agree, its criminal we have waited this long to see Taylor, he is superior to the rest of the midfieldEast Kent Addick said:
Both have been very poor. Midfield not working at all - second to the ball, can't tackle and either over hit their passes or go safety first sideways and backwards. Taylor can at least pass it forwards and take a decent corner and free kick.IR94 said:
does he look any worse then docherty?Nug said:Need a few changes, A Campbell looks poor. Got to give Leaburn some time surely? Like the look of Taylor so far.1 -
If we had any sort of attacking threat I wouldn’t be worried as we’ve played fairly well. But atm just don’t see who’s going to create something0

Have seen Dixon for the u21 sideand still think is not ready for the first team.Gisappointed said:Time for Dixon and Miles with Godden dropping deep.4 -
Great to see Bartlett and Fish there. Highlight of the afternoon so far.1

Defence also looking dodgy without Jones - Gillesphey is useless in the air and Mitchell is not comfortable on the ball but they keep passing it to him!1

Honestly, not the worst half, we've been in control for the most part and moved the ball fairly well BUT without doing much at the business end to cause them any real trouble.
A moment of some utterly shocking defending and they take an undeserved lead, if we didnt gift them that, then I think we go in 1 up. The goal gave them the perfect excuse to start with the "game management"
Anderson or A campbell off for Berry
TC or Godden off for Leaburn
Gillesphey is quite shite.3 -
i have no idea what Gillesphey is good at, slow, cant win ball in the air, poor on the ball, turns like a tyreless truckEast Kent Addick said:Defence also looking dodgy without Jones - Gillesphey is useless in the air and Mitchell is not comfortable on the ball but they keep passing it to him!0 -
And yet if his deflected shot has a slightly lesser touch on it he would’ve scored and we’d be level.supaclive said:TC is not a centre forward
Never will be.
He's a wide player
It's mental
What’s mental is deciding he’s not good enough as a striker after less than 10 starts as a 21 year old.2 -
Do you remember last season’s defence? To be calling what we’ve seen today dodgy after being subjected to last season seems a bit churlish.East Kent Addick said:Defence also looking dodgy without Jones - Gillesphey is useless in the air and Mitchell is not comfortable on the ball but they keep passing it to him!1 -

we saw him play on the wing, he is far superior there and plays to his strengths, its as clear as dayCallumcafc said:

both can be dodgy, the goal was the definition of dodgy defending, just because last year was worse doesn't make this not dodgyExiled_Addick said:
