I'm hoping, maybe against hope, that Taylor will be fit enough to play alongside Coventry. Keep to this new formation of 4, 2, 2, 2 and ML alongside Godden.
Sadly, I don't think that'll happen just yet.
However, I think we can get a point from the game.
If we can then turn Wrexwood over on Saturday a return of 8 points from Bham, SC, Barnsley & Wrexwood is not bad. If we can nick a win tomorrow night 10/12 would show we're moving forward.
Great preview @sage0 -

I think we lack too much up front to win a tough away game like this, but we're also fairly steady, smart money is the draw I'd say.
Poor numbers attending. Will be less than 400 on the night. I hope people on social media who mock other clubs supports and harp on about our sell out at ManU will be there.
Nonetheless I am very much looking forward to it. See you there.9 -

They'll get a goal or two up from defensive inadequacy and then shut up shop and timewaste the rest of the game with Charlton huffing and puffing to negligible impact.
Already defensively weak we now find ourselves hollowed out by injuries. Ramsey has been our best player by a distance and despite Tennai Watson being an adequate right back he doesn't hold a candle to Ramsey's all around game, he is far more mobile and effective than REG at right back.
The fact we miss a moderate defender like Lloyd Jones so desperately reveals just how awful the rest of the centre halves actually are.
Terry Taylor's performance on Saturday has given NJ a selection headache. He can't reasonably play him and Coventry together, they're too similar. Taylor's vastly superior dead ball delivery should give him the edge. His ability to recover in time after so long in the cold, may mean that Coventry gets the nod. Plus leaving Coventry out now also requires NJ to acknowledge he's probably not got that selection right when he's had the choice.
Kanu and Ahadme being ruled out at the same time limits NJ's starting and bench options, with Miles Leaburn's playing time still necessarily being managed.
Many found fault with Karoy Anderson and Tyreece Campbell's performances on Saturday and both were culpable to a couple of errors each. Those errors were however small price to pay for their relentless endeavour and commitment to the cause. Faults and all we're a much better side with both of them in cos they put in tremendous shifts and never give up
Word across the Curbside on Saturday whispered that Kaheim Dixon's inclusion had as much to do with the presence of his former Mount Pleasant colleagues as it did with form etc. We shall see if he's on the bench Tuesday. However small he is (and jesus he really is small!) pace and ball control is fatal for 3rd division defenders, hopefully he'll be running rings around lots of statuesque dimwits in the latter stages of many games to come. We had similar hopes for Jamal Campbell-Ryce once upon a time, unrealised in Charlton red.
Starting should probably be:
Mannion
Watson Mitchell Reg Edwards
Coventry Docherty
Anderson Berry/ACampbell
TCampbell Godden
with Miles introduced after an hour
and Dixon with 10 minutes to go to run defenders ragged or keep the ball in the corner if we're ahead(!)
If Taylor has recovered fully he ought to keep his place but I just don't see NJ entertaining it. Taylor may well get to replace whichever ineffective midfield makeweight has been ponsing around in the form of Berry or ACampbell.1 -
Prefer REG to Watson on what I’ve seen, more physically imposing which matters a lot in this league
Coventry has looked our best player so feel sure he’ll be straight back in the side3 -
Being a midweek game, will be available to stream on Sky Sports +7

It's a shame that with Taylor's delivery on Saturday we were missing the ariel threat of Lloyd Jones, Ahadme, and Chuks and with Taylor tiring, probably not getting his best deliveries to Leaburn. I agree with Sage, is two games in quick succession too much for Taylor ? Jones also needs to factor in the visit of Wrexham four days later when making his decisions. Like Sage, I would bench Taylor, so he is able to be selected hopefully fresh for Saturday, more of a concern is the defence, the centre half pairing on Saturday did not inspire, both Mitchell and Gillisphey are not the quickest and neither dominated against Stockport, I think Potts may step in here with REG deserving his place after a goal and very good performance on Saturday. The forwards, we are down to three plus a wild card in Dixon, it has to be Godden and Tyreece to start, once again with Saturday in mind and the injuries to Ahadme, Chuks and Daniel Kanu, to risk Leaburn for a potential ninety mins is too risky but with Miles and Dixon on the bench we have good options. four points from the last two games and a more potent looking Charlton, four points from Barnsley and Wrexham would suit me, with a win on Saturday in front of a full house, my preference, so a draw against Barnsley please.1

The Centre back issue is a worry for tomorrow. Jones and Mitchell are as good as any in this league. When mitchell was out we looked so weak with Reg coming in and now with jones out there’s a lot of pressure on mitchell who like jones has been absolutely fantastic this year, Now with Ramsey out let’s hope Reg performs as a right back like he did Saturday. Mitchell will need to lead again and organise a makeshift back four and somehow get Gillespey covering and not ball watching. My worry is that we just don’t score enough and we won’t get two up there and as good as it was Saturday, our forwards missed a hatful that they should have buried, so unless they are on it then this could be another disappointing evening.0

What has happened to Potts? I thought he would be too good for L1.8

3-1 Barnsley.1

We just need to find five more wins on the spin to be back averaging 2 points a game. A must win.3

I hope we don't revert back to 5 at the back as we've been so much better since the formation change. I know people in the past have said Coventry and Taylor can't play together but I don't see why one of them can't play the role Docherty is playing at the moment although expect Taylor to be dropped due to lack of match fitness. I'd like to see Berry and Leaburn come in2

No if's or but's tonight. We need 3 points for any credibility in this team built by NJ.
0-1 Binary bore away win.0 -
