Please let us know when her funeral is taking place. I for one would like to pause and give you some thought at this impossibly difficult time.

I will be thinking of you on 11 November, mate. It’s going to be a particularly tough couple of weeks for you. Stay strong.

That’s tough. Sorry to hear this.
  • Today , our dear fellow Lifer, @hoof_it_up_to_benty, is laying his beloved daughter, Aphra to rest.

It goes without saying that he & his family are in our thoughts today & are sending love & strength at this difficult time.

As suggested by @Gribbo, I have been in touch with out pal (Paul) & he has given his permission to add the following details to this thread for those who are interested to learn more about Ataxia-Telangiectasia and a link for donations in memory of Aphra.

The home page : https://atsociety.org.uk which has a "Donate " link.

I have made a donation but there is nowhere to indicate who the donation is "for".

So, unless someone knows better, I'd like to suggest that if you would like to join me, send a private message to @hoof_it_up_to_benty so that he's aware of your gift in the hope that our donations are indicated as being in Aphra's memory.

Thanks for your support, guys & gals.

A very tough read. Its shame as you say there is no link to make a donation a little personal. I won't intrude on the families grief so I will not send a private message but if Hoof_it ever reads this thread I hope he and his family find some comfort in knowing strangers are thinking of him and his family.
