Nah I was half listening and typed it before I heard he missed an open goal!

Godden hits the crossbar 1v1 and Berry misses an open goal on follow up
Chance to go 3-0 up & guess what happens next.

Surely we can't f**k this up.

No, but it seems the ref is determined too...

  • Annoying to be penalised for such a soft penalty. But as I predicted a 3-1 win, as long as we get a 3rd and then shut up shop I'll be happy!

the bloke who is like a new signing.
  • Brownie over analyses individual moments sometimes, but we’ve played genuinely well 3 times this season so if he’s a bit negative about our general performances he’s not being miserable he’s being honest.
  • Best half of Football that Charlton have ever played, which I've never watched

Apparently Taylor slipped over and the ball hit his hand/arm according to commentary

Annoying that the whole game isn’t live somewhere since they obviously have a camera following the action.
  • Can say it’s harsh and potential natural movement to push off after getting up but his arm is far away from the body…….

That's a poor decision by the ref..... gives them
a bit of hope we just need to kill the game of with a third going to be an interesting 10/15 mind they might give it a go...

Southend good for their goal. Apart from our goals we've been poor. Wonder how much will come down to Berry's miss
  • Penalty, for me. It was hit at him from close range but I think he’s stuck his arm about there hoping it might block something and him get away with it.

Thanks to beds for the video of our two goals from good balls in and the harsh pen against.

I said 3-1 on the prediction scores so I will go stick with that.

You are having a laugh, right. The guy's got verbal Diarrhea.

My issue is nothing to do with him being miserable - it’s him starting every sentence with ‘yeah’ and then going on some tangent about what he thinks should have happened during a pattern of play.

In all my life listening to football commentary I’ve never heard anyone speak about the game like Steve Brown does during it - and there’s a reason for that.

He was good value in the studio where it’s slowed down and you can discuss certain bits backed up by video - but it does not work during the game.
