I really hope he gets a huge January move. It would be a fairytale for a really likeable player and apparently the club would be due a small percentage of the fee for developing him (as would Waterloo who we signed him from).
3rd in Serie A and just won the Europa League, not sure there's many moves that are "huge" compared to that. Also if he's anywhere bigger he's likely to be a squad player at most

Looks just scored again to put them 1 up in the CL.

Poacher’s goal. Always thought he was more effective as a striker than a winger as he has a goal scorer’s instinct. 30 in 70 for Atalanta.
  • I think he will move in January to PSG

His movement for the goal last night was superb.

or Arsenal they are in the market for a forward
  • Would Ade not compete more with Saka and Martinelli in one of the wide roles though?

As much as I love the progress Lookman has made, he's no where near as good as Saka

I think he’s possibly better than Martinelli though, definitely on current form
  • Another goal for Lookman against Parma. Atalanta second in Serie A.

Pretty sure he plays on the left so he wouldn't need to displace Saka (which no one is doing for the next 8-9 years if he stays there).

But is he better than Godden?

    NJ wouldn't play him.

Quite right to, can't have a player wanting to get the ball on the ground and attack teams and then commit the biggest offence in scoring.

I realise this is a joke but I wouldn’t mind betting you’re actually on the money.

He’d have used him in exactly the same way as TC. Try to convert him to an out and out striker, ask him to run after balls pumped into the channels, rotate and sub him a lot and occasionally throw him on at wing back.

and then sell him to Birmingham for a collection of shiny pebbles and magic beans
  • I think he is smaller and lighter than Dixon. A definite no-go from NJ.

    Nice
  • Just scored against Real Madrid but Atalanta are losing 3-2.

Great game, these sides are playing a different sport to what i just witnessed us play v Orient.

Phillippe Auclair (who is part of France Football who give out the Balon D'or) said on today's Guardian Football weekly that part of the reason Lookman was so high up the list was because the Nigerian delegate put him first in his selection which is so funny

Happens all the time, every Barcelona vote was for Messi every year, with Ronaldo never featuring in any of their top 3, and vice versa with when he was at Madrid. I'm sure Bellingham was at the top of most lists involving English people, and all the Spanish votes would have gone to Rodri
