Advent Calendar

Who has one and what is it?

For my sins I have a cheese one, a tad expensive but you should only clog your arteries with decent stuff and an escape room one.  The escape room one is for the Mrs and I to try and keep our fast aging brains active

Bought my missus a £260 Liberty's beauty advent calendar.

    It hasn't worked.

Only joking - she's lovely, and it keeps her happy pretty much all year round.

Got mine one of these a couple years ago and she never even got me a £1 chocolate one as a gesture..... only one I buy now is a Lego calendar for the boy !.
  • My son always had one when he was a child and it’s something we have carried on into adulthood. When he moved out he told us to stop but we didn’t like letting go so we didn’t. We started making our own ones, supersized chocolate, Beer, wine, spirits. I also liked getting him tool advent calendars like the yearly Wera sets. This year we are back to a bought chocolate one for him and his girlfriend.

I remember our advent calendars as a kid just had a picture behind each door . Maybe a candle or a snowman and even then I got excited to see what was behind the door !  Things have moved on a bit

Usually get a rum or craft beer one, can't summon up the enthusiasm this year, but do have a hotel Chocolat one

She’d have to pay for a chiropractor if she expects me to get involved with anything like that.

It would be ok if 1-13 was socks on and 14-25 socks off.

It’s the getting socks on and off that I’d struggle with most

It really is the Christmas film I most enjoy watching again and again this time of year.
