Favourite Animated Series

Hot on the heels of the favourite animated film comes this one.

Mine is Guyver Bioboosted Armour. Although Danger Mouse comes a close second.

    Spiderman 1970’s series
  • Simpsons, Flintstones, Top Cat instantly spring to mind.
  • Honourable mentions for SpongeBob SquarePants and Yvon of the Yukon.
  • He-Man and Thundercats are the two first to mind. Big part of my 80s childhood watching those.

The Simpsons is the obvious one, although I've never seen an episode past series 11, and they must be into the 30s by now!

I've heard good things about X-Men 97, released earlier this year, but not watched any of it yet.

Simpsons, although they need to end them now as the last few years have been piss poor, and its going to solly their reputation. I always had fond memories of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table and Mr Benn.

Probably not my favourite as there are some excellent series above but honourable mentions to Futurama and The Mysterious Cities of Gold

South Park. Seasons 4-10 at times felt they were tailor made for me.

It's now on 26 seasons and like all old shows it's not as good, but it still hits high, clever and impactful notes.
  • I haven't watched it (much) but the commercial success of the Australian series Bluey is mind blowing.  It is the top show in Australia and viewing figures in the US incredible see below. It is of course to be made into a feature film.

  • As a kid probably Simpsons or Futurama. Then for a while it was Family Guy. More recently Archer.

Got the He-Man boxed set for work secret Santa. Must be because I look like a jacked homosexual skeleton?

Loved a bit of dungeon and dragons, mysterious cities of gold and dogtanian back in the day, then Simpsons. Don't really watch them now but family guy still makes me laugh

Simpsons series 1-10ish and The Ricky Gervais Show.
  • The Simpsons Season 1-9. And odd good episode since. The jokes were fresh, clever and not forced like Family Guy.

It’s covered in bark, it’s such a lark it’s stick, stick, stick.

    Simpsons
    King of the Hill
    Futurama

    As a kid:

    Mr Benn
Ivor The Engine (to be honest anything from Postgate & Firmin qualifies)
    The Trumptonshire series
    Dangermouse
    Chorlton And The Wheelies
    Dogtanian And The Three Muskahounds
    Mysterious Cities Of Gold

I think that covers everything you need.

    Major edit: THUNDERBIRDS!!

  • The Simpsons is the best followed by Rick and Morty and South Park (in that order)

As a child ThunderCats and the Flintstones were my favourite.
