Maybe put him for sale on eBay.
Hardly used, low mileage, engine work needs attention.Any reasonable offer accepted.
Can't imagine he'll get a contract anywhere after this season, who will sign a player who can play about 200 minutes a season?19 -

Another sorry chapter in the sad state that is Charlton Athletic.0

It shows how many points we have won in games he has completely missed, and where we would have finished if we extrapolated those points across a "Chuks-less" season (or part season for this yr).
Of course there will be other influencing factors but I for one would not be "binning him" in January as it seems clear that the last season and a half we have needed him to stay up.
Yes, his wages could be split to 2 other players but do we really want two more Allan Campbell's, or two more Ahadmes etc etc.
This season
We have got 11 points from the 10 games he has missed.
21 points. 20th.
23/24
We got 27 points from the 29 games he missed.
43 points. 22nd
22/23

21/22
We got 42 points from the 37 games he missed (includes first half of season when he was at Birmingham so didn't play for us).
52 points. 17th.
23/24 - He played 517 minutes and scored 2 goals
22/23 - 328 minutes and 1 goal.
If we desperately need a guy who only played 850 minutes in 2 years and scored 3 goals then there's no hope for us at all.

I compare Chuks to a similarly talented forward, Paul Mortimer. Both blighted by mainly muscle injuries, I wonder if it is something relatively simple like lack of proper hydration?8

Without his injuries Mortimer was premier league standard.8 -

So let me get this right. You've worked out the points we got in games where he didn't play, extrapolated that over the whole season and have come to the conclusion that we would've been relegated if it wasn't for him - is that right?

Well obviously not as I said in my post it was crude and there were other influencing factors, which you seem to have ignored.
But it does show a clear correlation that when he isn't around we have performed worse.
As for time and dedication, I was bored on a commuter train to work.
I seem to recall you dedicated quite a bit of time coming onto this thread repeatedly to announce how many games in a row he had missed after each game a little while ago which I have to say was a truly thrilling read. 🙄0 -

43 points. 22nd
22/23
We have got 48 points from the 33 games he missed.
67 points. 10th (no change)
Total (if anyone interested) 3.025'min 23 goals 8 assists
Of the 10 goals we scored this season while Aneke was fit. Only 3 were scored before he was subbed on
For the money we spent, Ahadme should be that guy, but unfortunately he is not.
The reason we depend on Chuks so much is because we have failed to sign a target man type striker for years. Stockley was good initially, but never really recovered from an injury, we’ve then had Tedic and Ahadme, and Leaburn has been injured for most of the last 2 years
I would not mind him going on the coaching staff but I think he has an outside business housing or financeHe might not be able to bully them like Chuks but no doubt he can wind opponents up.

The gaffer also gave the latest on Chuks Aneke.
“There have been no setbacks," Jones revealed. "He's someone we have to be really careful with, conscious of his injury record. We got to a very good place with him by getting impact pretty much every game, then he got injured. Hopefully over Christmas we'll have him back and he can provide that impact again.”

I don't think so.
Without his injuries Mortimer was premier league standard.
