    Get up.

    Get youngest up.

Encourage him to even look at his stocking.

    Walk the dog.

    Get home make scrambled eggs.

Wait for the eldest to arrive home and do our presents.

Then off to my mum's for lunch.

Thanks I was a bit worried about a denim jacket with jeans, but now I am in my fifties I have lost what little desire to be cool I ever had.

Got up at 7:45 to do stockings (yes, even at 56 years old I still get one). Breakfast of cereal and satsumas to help clear the incoming assault on my bowels.

Going to church with my daughter in a bit, not sure where she gets her Christianity from, it’s not her parents!

Got Phil Spector's "Christmas gift for you" playing, which is the official start of Christmas, kids opened their stocking and I just got a heavy repeat of the stiff whisky the kids poured for Santa last night. They stopped believing years ago but I'll be damned if that excuse for boozing ends

Nothing says Christmas like the music of a man who murdered a woman by shooting her in the mouth 😄

This deserves a thread of its own - dogs that look like ex Charlton players. That’s a solid start.

Bacon roll and a coffee then a bit of turkey prep. Then pressie swap. Having to forgo the traditional breakfast tipple as I’m Daddy Taxi for junior 2 who is working today.
  • Just back from a 5k stroll down the prom to the pier and back and laugh at the once a year cold water dippers. Now a light breakie of a couple of croissants before the real action starts.

That’s only 5 more calls than I’ve had (the other was wrong number).

I’m in a big house in Dorset with 13 family members, so I volunteered to do Christmas morning breakfast - which means I can put my feet up for the rest of the day😎
Devilled kidneys on thick crusty toast and butter, followed by a full English. Only three of us tried the kidneys (which I expected) but all three of us enjoyed them. Not bad, even if I say so myself. The fry up went down a treat, obviously.
I can now bask in my hero status and get slowly pissed.

    Happy Christmas! 🥴🎅🏼😎

Well my usual routines are in tatters.
It was our turn to host the annual Christmas eve shindig with  friends and all their kids yesterday evening.
30 odd round. Had a great night!

But we're  someway behind in getting everything ready for all the family round today.
Didn't even manage my smoked salmon this morning
    Sacraliege!!
