Not the goals, although they were all good 'uns, but the Midfield. All top bloody drawer today and so hard to pick a Man of the Match.

That 4th goal was poetry. The break, the run from Thomas and the ball into his stride from Ambrose. Clinical.

I'm loving it. :-)

If I had to give it to anyone it would be Thomas. His best ever game for us I reckon.
  • Song and Holland complimented eachother in the middle. Thomas had the best game for a long time and I was actually impressed with Ambrose's work rate considering he was nearly crippled by three awful tackles in the first ten minutes, and what a cool finish to get things going...

The whole defensive unit looked comfortable - I remain a big Diawara fan...Luke looked like he'd never been away. Thatcher and Talal also very solid. Even JFH put the work in - perhaps that's the rick - only bring him on when we're two up!!

I was extremely impressed with Song, I thought he was everything that Faye hasn't been. Holland's just plays with such heart and commitment - he really is a credit to his profession. Thomas played as well as he's ever played with the end product that Romm has never been able to produce (apart from once). Ambrose put in his best performance for us as well. We now need to build on this.
  • yep,i thought ambrose was excellent.
  • My MOTM was Song. He reminded me of a young Scott Parker with the way he covered the pitch and tackled everything that moved.

Well, after over a gallon of Guinness to decide upon my MotM I'm going for a Song too. At times it was like we had 12 men out there today.

ps That bloke that filled in for Sankofa done OK too.

I think Sankofa was unlucky to be dropped.....Lukey is a bit one dimensional and whatever happens next season I think we should let him go because the fecker wanted to leave start of the season anyhow....applaud the West Ham fans singing "West Ham tiil I die" song....true supporters not like plastic Chelski and Arse fans...

Watching the highlights two of the goals were scored by crosses from the right - Marcus Bent to Ambrose for the first, and then Ambrose to Thomas for the fourth. We've been missing that kind of delivery all season...
