It's hard to justify a knighthood based on his track record as London Mayor. Indeed while I didn't always agree with him, Ken Livingstone was a far more notable London Mayor, plus former leader of the GLC.
Knighthoods and Damehoods are a total anathema and should've been banished to the medieval room 101. Sportsman, Politicians, actors, singers etc it's archaic and embarrassing.
Way before the Pervert Jimmy Saville was given a knighthood because of his 'friendship' with Thatcher and Charles, knighthoods should've been abolished. I have no political alliance.
