We’re in the standing bit opposite you lot. I reckon it’s easier to hide when standing.1

Would probably help . But name and ticket numbers should suffice .

For those that have been there before, are there any pubs in Crawley worth going to ?
their website says to get a bus to the ground from Crawley station but google maps says it’s only 1 mile between the two which is a 23 minute walk which given GM also says the bus takes 12 minutes (and basically there will I guess be the inevitable queue/wait between buses) I’m assuming if it’s cold tomorrow it would be a lot warmer walking I would have thought.0 -
One adult spare for terrace tomorrow face value, can meet at ground. Message me if interested0

As the weather looks crap, you could get off at Three Bridges, drink in the Snooty Fox and then get taxis to the ground from the station taxi rank. For those that have been there before, are there any pubs in Crawley worth going to ?

Will only be £5-10 per taxi.0 -

There's a pub next to the station, The Railway, which is fine. No idea if there are any matchday restrictions though. The better pubs are the wrong way from the station, going north to the town centre, rather than south to the ground.letthegoodtimesroll said:For those that have been there before, are there any pubs in Crawley worth going to ?

It's an easy enough walk from the station to the ground, but will be miserable in the wind and rain tomorrow. You pass by another pub on the way; as the nearest pub to the ground I imagine it might be home only?0 -
I have an adult spare available tomorrow in the terrace, face value. Can meet at the ground - message me if interested.0

The one near the ground is the New Moon and will be home fans only.killerandflash said:

Edit - My error, The New Moon is the away designated pub.0 -

At the cup game the new moon had plenty of charlton in it, it also lists it as an away fans pub?C.Walsh'sLoveChild said:

@oohaahmortimer can pick them up.tj2710 said:I have 2 adult tickets in the standing section if anyone is interested.
Good news is I don’t want anything for them but the bad news is collection from Brentwood only as I won’t be over the better side of the water until after the game0 -
Depends what you're looking for. I used to drink in The Swan which is just down the road opposite the railway pub and back across the level crossing. Had decent beers and kept them properly too. Haven't been there for many years now though, and the landlord it had most of the time I was there is long gone, so can't necessarily vouch for it these days - or if it's even still open!letthegoodtimesroll said:For those that have been there before, are there any pubs in Crawley worth going to ?
The Railway used to be the "rockers" boozer when it was The Rocket, but by the time I left Crawley it had pretty much morphed into an identkit pub after changing hands several times. It might be the "home" pub as it's probably the second nearest.
In town the Brewery Shades didn't used to be too bad, but I've no idea if it's called that any more or, again, if it's even open! Opposite the 'spoons (which I presume is still open as Crawley has a plentiful supply of piss heads)1 -
The brewery shades is open I think and that's where I will be heading. If anyone wants to join or avoid me.0

Anyone know what the parking is like there? I’ve looked online and seems to be saying there are industrial estates nearby with free parking.0

How does the away stand work. Are you able to stand in the terrace if you have a seated ticket?
I’ve got two seated tickets and one terraced ticket, but would rather it was the other way around so my old man can sit and I can stand with my friend im dragging down (instead of us both sitting and my old man standing).0 -
I wouldn't have thought so as it's sold out, and the numbers are limited for safety. That said, if there's a way through from the same entrance, I doubt anyone is checking....FishCostaFortune said:How does the away stand work. Are you able to stand in the terrace if you have a seated ticket?

Yes, you have to walk past all the terracing to get to the seats so if you have a seated ticket you’re able to stand in the terrace too.FishCostaFortune said:How does the away stand work. Are you able to stand in the terrace if you have a seated ticket?

Best bet might be tilgate park. It isn't free but I don't think the charges are too outrageous. You can walk from the car park at the top of the hill down the service road to the stadium (comes out at the K2 leisure centre across the road)buckshee said:Anyone know what the parking is like there?
