Liked what I've seen from him so far. These are the types of signings that separate the clever clubs from the rest. Can you go down to League Two, or Non League, or the Championship in Scotland and find that player that can make the step up? There aren't a lot so you have to be quick and you have to be clever. And I think in Edwards we got a good one.11

Solid 7 or 8 out of 10 every week. A proper Charlton full back.25

I thought he was excellent today.16

Need to be looking out for bargains like Edwards, shows they’re out there.7 -
Very solid defensively. Looking better in this formation we’re now using that gets him involved in attacks but puts less pressure on him to be the primary source of attacking width on the left.2

Feels like wingers almost never run past him and he’s excellent at winging free kicks in our defensive third. Possibly our best summer signing6

I like him, started well, then got injured and now back to he’s best.3

He is a fantastic signing. Strong, powerful, decent height, fast, good tackler, good bloke, long throw, decent distribution. Will play in the Championship I would expect. Hopefully with us.9

He’s a warrior, takes some knocks for the team7

With the amount of injuries Robertson and Tierney seem to get I wouldn't be surprised if he's in around the international reckoning within the next year or so. Looks an absolute bargain if we did pay under 100k.0

As individuals over the years they have had some absolutely fantastic players.

There’s one thing I’m not keen on, perhaps it because I’m old & old school, when it gets in front on a forward running back towards our goals, he goes down drawing the foul.I have to accept that’s football these days.0

He’s had plenty on mentions on the post match thread but I thought his own thread deserves a bump for last night.
In my 35 years of supporting us, we’ve always tended to have decent fullbacks and have had a few really good uns over the years. He’s developing into a proper Charlton full back. Safe as houses defensively, completely unfussy and understated, and runs all day, and starting to add a bit more going the other way. Cult hero potential.21 -
That was a beaut goal. Prem quality goal0

Man of the match in the lounges and he was a nice fella when the kids spoke to him and got a pic10

As others have posted, he's a cracking player, fits the Charlton mold. No nonsense, hard as nails, big engine, dependable. Hell of a throw on the lad. Very pleased he got his 1st last night. Great strike.
A quality signing, for 4 years. That disgusting tackle from Clare could of easily ended his career.4 -
