If I recall correctly one of Golfie's kids works in the sound booth, so would probably have a timetable of what was due to happen when, in order to cue up the music at the appropriate times.valleynick66 said:

But as you point out it's hardly an issue if it had delayed the start, as after all it'd not be the first time we've kicked off late.Regardless the ref being mindful of his surroundings / the screen isn’t really a big ask and difficult to excuse or explain.

My understanding of this was that the ref was briefed. If that is true and he has started the game before the roll call had finished, then I hope we lodge a complaint and he gets a suitable punishment.Henry Irving said:

I got a reply from the club this morning to confirm that they are following up with the EFL who were briefed re the memorial. Hopefully this won't happen again.SidewaysInOz said:

Please don't allow the imperfect execution to undervalue the event which I found extremely moving and dignified.
If I had known in advance I could have added another name to the list of loved ones who once graced the Valley and were lost in 2024.
