Away support at Preston

Anyone know how many travelled in the end ? Great effort from those that did. Website says 716, if so that’s amazing, but can’t imagine that many went ?

Really rather phenomenal given the circumstances.
    Heroes one and all.
  • Must be tickets sold? 616 are still awaiting their refunds!
  • The real hardcore , full respect to the travelling few from down South
  • This was a few mins before kick off. Circa 300 of us I reckon.

People who didn't claim back on their tickets for Saturday may be a factor in that number but well done to all the fans who made the trip. You did us proud.
  • There were a few 15-20 I would say I saw coming in well after the game started as well. There were 4 guys at the back near me that arrived about half an hour in. Would agree with the general consensus 300-350 would seem about right.
  • Must admit those fans, who went to Preston on a cold Tuesday night (with the prospect of Wycombe at Home being the reward) should be awarded with double loyalty points.

Cup games only give you 5 pts, I think.

I got rewarded by Avanti having to refund me in full for the return train from Preston. Two hours late back into Euston. Covers the fare to Bolton next Tuesday.

I'll happily take the double loyalty points as well though. 😁

That'll be late as well, the aways can work out quite reasonable at times B)

True. Huddersfield return leg was a full refund too.

Your right, but I meant going up to Preston, without a shred of hope (and with Wycombe Home game as a prize), should be worth at least 15. For the dedication shown.
  • It's difficult getting the points system exactly right, but 5 points for an away cup game at Carlisle or a home cup game against non league opposition or Morecambe feels too low, but right if we're home to Arsenal or Man U.

I have never attached too much importance to the points system, how many games in the past five seasons{Covid aside} have we sold our away allocation?
