My 10 year old lads favourite player. Wigan away first game of the season 60mins in and he says "Josh Edwards will be my favourite player this season Dad". Boy has a future as a scout (the dib, dib, dob kind either!)

He can start a chant for him, something along these lines…ging, gang, gooley, gooley, watch ya, Josh edward’s, Josh edward’s….and repeat
  • Cracking signing. Will play in the Championship for sure. Size, power and pace.  He has the attributes.

Or the edited version every time he makes a tackle…or scores a goal

Excellent full back. Surprisingly good in the air too.

I was saying to a friend a few weeks ago, he has the nice quality of being just a bit better than you assume in many areas. He's a bit faster than I remember he is, a bit stronger, a bit taller, a bit better in the air, a bit better at crossing, a bit better technique. Keep it coming, Josh.

Cracking player and really good character coming down on his own in the summer and settling the way he has

That is a disgusting finish, a defender on his weak foot scoring that? What a diamond we’ve unearthed

In some ways he reminds me a little bit of Luke Young/Chris Solly (albeit on the opposite side) where it's hard to point to anything as his "best" quality but equally you can't honestly point to much as being a weakness either - he's just an all round solid pro who does everything you want a FB to do.

and for once a player who says something rather than just watching and grunting
  • Every out field player ran over to him after he scored.  Suggests he is popular with the rest of the squad

Dont think there are any unpopular players in the team - I noticed REG at the end of the Dressing Room video being one of the outgoing members wanting a speech from Ramsay, after Jones singled him out for his return

Well chuffed for the lad, settling in nicely and seems to be really enjoying his football, has the weapon of the long throw, and his form has come at the right time as we have seen with TS👍👍👍

Showing my age, I was thinking Mark Reid here, but I dunno what Josh is like at penalties.

He’s been a quality signing for only costing ~100k. Keeping Small out of his favoured position.

Think he might be slightly overplaying the attendances:

“It's a nice blend and it's made for a really fun season. Some of the atmospheres I've played in have been brilliant, especially at the Valley as well. “It's 16, 17,000 every weekend and it's brilliant.”

Not sure I'd call 5 16K+ attendances out of 34, every weekend
    :D

Arguably out signing of the summer when you factor in cost and potential sell on value. Been brilliant since his first app

Think he gets the idea of what we are about and is a real good bloke to have around the squad.  He was always involved with the downtime videos shot in Slovenia.

Sounds like Edwards had a bit of stiffness and fatigue according to Jones, hence why he got taken off when he did.

Well someone has to do it.

Seemed to happen after he put fierce cross in towards Miles. If he's out for a bit, I'd give McIntyre a runout. He's looking keen, aerially strong and means we don't have to move Small too far away from his current position.

He noticed it a bit earlier, carried on and then the cross was a step too far

If he is out I'd like us to try Small back on the left with TC on the right (or vice versa) and Godden & Leaburn up top like we played for a bit yesterday, full backs would be terrified

Campbell left and Small right for me.  I suspect NJ will bring Watson in
