Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is killing off the Eurosport brand in the UK and Ireland.
All Eurosport live and non-live content will move to TNT Sports on 28 February 2025 and WBD’s Eurosport-branded linear channels, Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2, will no longer exist.
The move simplifies WBD’s sports offering in the UK, consolidating it under a single brand – TNT Sports.

Genuinely horrible decision. Lots of minority sports behind a paywall will mean people don't ever pick them upclive said:Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is killing off the Eurosport brand in the UK and Ireland.

Especially as they've said they won't do any free to air coverage under their exclusive deal from 2026stonemuse said:

The quality of the picture on Eurosport always seems better than other HD channels (particularly noticeable during the French open) - hope that isn’t lost.0

My first thought as well - especially as GCN was bought by Discovery and the Tour de France has only one more year on free to air TV.stonemuse said:

As a road cycling fan I’m royally cheesed off. Firstly GCN and their great coverage is absorbed by Discovery+ - the price went up but at £7 a month it was still a sensible amount.
Now with Eurosport going and everything being rolled into TNT I can’t justify £30 plus a month.
With TdF going from ITV after this year there will be no free to air live cycling left. The UK pro cycling scene is already on its knees and will suffer further with coverage of the sport behind a paywall.
Sad times…5 -
Similar sentiment as above for me and motorcycle racing, particularly the British series. Anyone racing is 100% funded by sponsorship, and if no one's able to watch then no one will fund it.Long term hopefully more sports like the ones mentioned end up on YouTube, Netflix etc. I presume all contracts are tied up for this year.1

Just encourages more people into getting IPTV, sod paying anything close to £30 per month for one set of channels, when I pay £70 for all of them effectively.NorthStandDan said:As a road cycling fan I’m royally cheesed off. These Companies need to be hit where it'll hurt the most. The subscription model surely cant be sustainable long run, not with the amount of options and constant price increases... Its just a race to see how much they can get away with fleecing people at the moment.0
