After 12 games Aberdeen were level on points with Celtic. After 24 games ((23 for Celtic) they are 25 point behind them. WTF?0

Celtic sell Kyogo for £10m to Rennes.
Big loss to the Bhoys and while I get KF wanting to playing in one of the top five European leagues to help his international chances Rennes seems an odd choice.
Still, did great for the club so good luck to him.
Hope they buy a decent replacement4 -

Utterly bizarre decision for me. Celtic talk about trying to press on, especially in the CL but then let Kyogo leave, regardless of bringing Jota back. Going to Rennes makes it even more random to me and I think he’ll only be there until the summer.Henry Irving said:Celtic sell Kyogo for £10m to Rennes.

Jota is a good player and got him back for far less then they got from the Saudi's but still a strange deal.3

Kyogo apparently wanted to leave as he wanted to test himself in a more competitive league. Plus Celtic getting 10m for a player who's 30 isn't exactly bad business.mart77 said:

I get that it could be seen as good business in some ways Chris but I just think that unless some serious replacements are added then previous talk about having a real go in Europe, was pointless. Too often there seems to be a management of moves in and out at Celtic to balance the books, rather than create the strongest possible team. If he wanted to go then fair enough, but the timing is really poor and Rodgers comments last night that they were expecting to do some serious business before the window closes, needs to be backed up.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

Depends what he meant by 'serious business' though. They've bought a 10m replacement so that's quite serious. The SPL is as good as won already and even if they signed Mbappe they're not going any further in Europe, so they may as well just wait until the summer now, instead of overpaying in this window.mart77 said:

Well he’s made a rod for his own back as last night he suggested they were hoping for several deals to be completed this window. Not sure if you’re referring to Idah as the Kyogo replacement but it’s deffo not Jota. Idah I think is ok but again I in no way see him as a Kyogo replacement. Would like the Ferguson rumours to be true.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

Rangers losing 0 - 1 in injury time and shock horror they get a penalty....which is saved.
Rangers knocked out of cup by Glasgow's second biggest club, Queens Park.

I think it's fair to say Clement won't have a job by tomorrow.2

If Spurs lose tonight, Ange might be available.
Knows Scottish football, had great success up there, obvious choice to replace Clement2 -

Where would Celtic be in an English division? Not that I want their supporters0

Queen's first win at Ibrox since 1882.
And no, that's not a typo.3 -

I think with their current teams Celtic would be lower half Premier League, Rangers would be a playoff contender in the Championship. Most of the rest of the SPL are lower championship/upper league one standard.PrincessFiona said:Where would Celtic be in an English division? Not that I want their supporters1 -

Squad as they are now? Bottom half, maybe fighting relegation.PrincessFiona said:Where would Celtic be in an English division? Not that I want their supporters
But given a few seasons of PL money they'd be up around the European places.0 -

Btw Chris I was super disappointed with Celtic’s late transfer business and feel the board again put profit over progress.0 -
