1-0 to the Addicks, Jones.2 -
We should comfortably win this, but there cannot be a Charlton fan who has not experienced going into an easy win game and coming out pointless. Although not a great fan of Jones for most of the season, he does seem to have found a formula and there is no denying we currently have something. That said, a packed defence and a team with no ambition has often been our nemesis, so an early goal would be welcome, a first half three even better, with players rested at half time, in preparation for Saturday.
I'll predict a 3-0 win, but have been here so many times before!3 -

We can rely on this and keep defensively sound which I think is our basic approach now. Rotherham and indeed Blackpool towards the end of our recent game showed the way against us but it involves a front foot approach which is the opposite tactic.0 -

The 2015 game must have been the game I listened to on Talk sport with Adrian Durham. He mentioned our first couple of goals but I never heard no more and was pleased when I found out we had won well later.
For those who do not know, Durham is a Posh supporter0 -
We need to be ruthless with this one. 4-0 Charlton.6

Score, Charlton score, once you get one you’ll get more, we’ll sing you an assembly, when we get to Wembley, so score Charlton score…
tbh, I never really understood what ‘singing an assembly’ really was other than we all sang in assembly at school but it rhymed and since Wembley is where the playoffs lead to then it seems appropriate

Is it too early yet to become an optimist?2

Charlton were really good on the ball and some of our best passing of the season in the 2nd half, partly due to the fall off of Stevenage who had the midweek Trophy match against Birmingham.
Posh had a rest day as Orient were taking on Man city in the FA cup and despite their poor away form and low place in the table Charlton need to be on the front foot for 90+ minutes and I would be surprised if Berry and Godden don't run out of steam after their impressive performances on Saturday.
I agreed with Nathan Jones not making early changes against the in form Stevenage as they were not threatening and we had a lovely rhythm with better passing in the 2nd half.
We need to get the record of not winning monkey against Peterborough off our back.
3-1 with Berry and Godden replaced after 65 mins by Leaburn and Gilbert, plus Kanu switching with TC after 80.
Other subs if any issues with knocks.
Important mega match momentum that we garner another 3 points before our trip to the second city on Saturday.

- Charlton Athletic have failed to win any of their last 13 league games against Peterborough United (D5 L8), with the Addicks only once enduring a longer winless league run outside the top tier against a single opponent – a 14-match spell against Millwall between 1922 and 1930.
- Peterborough United are unbeaten across their last six away league games against Charlton Athletic (W4 D2) since a 2-0 defeat at The Valley in November 2012.
- Peterborough have lost nine of their last 10 away league games (D1), also conceding 2+ goals in nine of these outings.

Quite good odds considering that would go into the folder of 'Charlton doing Charlton things'2 -

Growing up in Peterborough I'm used to posh fans being very cocky in the lead up to a game. Today I've not had a single one come up to me in the office, some even seem to be avoiding me. Makes me more nervous if anything!4

A big positive is that our bench is now very strong with players that can actually change things.9

I hate these games when we are on a good run and we play struggling teams. I still have memories of Kiely palming the ball into his own net in a top v bottom game against Swindon.
Heart says an easy win, head says an easy win, gut isn't quite so sure!7 -

When my then 11 year old daughter turned to me on the upper deck of the bus on the Woolwich Rd, heading home and said, "Daddy, life is not fair is it?". I knew then that innocence was a casualty of following Charlton, and that she would never quite see life in the same way again...16 -
Time to get that winless run against them off our back. 3-1
COYR1 -
I'm not saying we will lose on Saturday but this game is the easiest to win so I wouldn't imagine we think about Saturday until Wednesday and Jones will put out what he thinks is the best team to get the result.3

We continue our winning ways, heart says comfortable 2-0 win head says nick it by the odd goal. 3-2.COYRs!!!0

Really looking forward to tomorrow - notwithstanding the fact my business are match sponsors tomorrow night.
I am very much hoping that the day I choose the MOM - we don't get rolled over 3-0 in an insipid performance!11 -
Just a warning Peterbro have not been beaten at the valley in last 6 visits … could be their lucky ground that form and league position don’t come into it .. like us at Fratton Park ?
and they had a free weekend when we had a tough physical game ….0 -
