I've had a feeling all week Birmingham will have an off day and we'll come out 0-3.
All the stats point to that being a bonkers prediction. Birmingham have been a consistent winning machine all season at home. Our recent run has been good but away results have been patchy compared to our home form. If Birmingham show up, and even if we take a drubbing, there'd be no shame in that and it will quickly be written off. Going by their performance against Newcastle, if we go toe to toe with them we should expect a battleground, and injuries could be a concern.
So yeah, 0-3.1 -

First of all, safe travels to the travelling Addicks, may the football God's bless you with 3 points and I hope it's a bloody good day out.
I wish I was there, but one unexpected broken car and a host of other very solvable but poorly timed life issues have gotten in the way. Still haven't ticked St Andrews, bloody typical.
I have a sneaky feeling we will shock them. I think they'll be surprised at how much we have improved and I feel if we put our foot on the gas, and if our finishing is clinical, we might genuinely be out of sight.
My biggest fear, is if we waste our chances I'm expecting. They have a big squad, and like us, finish games well. With a packed out stadium and a bigger squad, I could see that being our downfall potentially.
I'll go 2-1 Charlton with my hear, but my head says something like 2-2 is a more sensible prediction.

I'll back this up. All the Baggies I've interacted with have been really sound. Even met a few in Bristol and they were nice as well.Exiled_Addick said:I grew up in the West Midlands. Wolves fans have a mixed bag, got a good mate who's Wolves and he's harmless, know some other C U Next Tuesday who's Wolves and he's a right little rat.
Blues are a tricky one. Either completely sound or come across a bit full of themselves. I worked with one in Royal Mail and my word he was full of himself when talking about them. If you watch that DavoDiaries on youtube though, he's really sound and so are a lot of the recurring characters on his vlogs. Feel like most clubs, some good, some bad.
One thing I can't deny though about those clubs is the passion of their fans. Proper footballing city and clubs.0 -

Well it doesn't get much harder than this, this coming Saturday the Addicks will be travelling to the most difficult ground in League One, at least this season, a venue where the home side have dropped points on just three occasions, and have yet to lose a single league game... Hey... I've heard these excuses somewhere before...? - This Saturday wont define our season, but three points here could really help our end of season goal... Promotion!!
The Opposition
Name: Birmingham City (1st) - Manager: Chris Davies

Previous League Result: Birmingham 4-0 Cambridge
Of course next up for the Addicks is a very tough away trip to leader leagues Birmingham City... However like I say... We've been in this position before, twice in fact, terrified of what the outcome could be, yet ultimately have been pleased with our showing against a side who have blown the Division out of the water when it comes to their business in the Transfer Windows this season.
Our two previous occasions have ended in a 1-0 victory for both teams, with Birmingham's win coming in the League Cup, so naturally its only fair that the winners of this game, get the League title at the end of the day - Beating Birmingham in their own backyard, or even salvaging a draw wont be easy, yet the three games they've failed to win at home haven't exactly been consistent in terms of the opposition, with those draws coming against Blackpool (0-0), Northampton and Reading (1-1)
Charlton though do have the honour of being just one of two sides to keep a clean sheet in the League against our fearsome opponents, so if we've managed to keep the likes of Jay Stansfield (I think it was Lisa at the Valley) and Alfie May quiet once before now... Well there is no reason why we cant do it again is there?

Its a line-up that I'll be most curious to see this coming Saturday, after all Nathan Jones played a tactical masterclass against Birmingham at the Valley, by condensing the Midfield and having two sitting Midfielders, with two playing further up the pitch and so suffocating the playmakers that day.
If we copied those tactics then it might result in Karoy Anderson stepping into the starting eleven with one of our full-backs dropping to the bench, given how Thierry Small has benefited in recent weeks down the right flank, it might even be a chance to rest Kayne Ramsay, with Alex Mitchell returning at the back as part of a two man Centre-Back pairing.Maynard-Brewer

But "refuelling fire" makes it sound like Jones has said something very negative about May, which isn't the case. Mentioning it's unfair to compare the two players isn't fighting talk against May.Lincsaddick said:

Ain’t been this nervous & excited about a Charlton team playing in a on paper,one of te biggests game of the season (I mean they are all big and we have come through big games to be where we are…) but this one just seems to be the one where we could really set out our stool for that elusive 2nd place…alot of us saying,(me too) it’s a free hit for us today,but I do believe we will take it today…1-2 to The Mighty Addicks…Brum we are coming for you…

It does worry me when lots of posters are confident of us getting a result in a difficult game.
I think if it doesn't go our way it makes it even worse and people are more critical post match.
Hopefully it does go our way (win or draw) and we're all happy, well as happy as some of us can be anyway.
