Gotta laugh, a previous post was slagging off the Birmingham fans for being arrogant saying they were going to win yet every post I read on this thread and others is predicting a win for us

    1-1

It does worry me when lots of posters are confident of us getting a result in a difficult game.
I think if it doesn't go our way it makes it even worse and people are more critical post match.
Hopefully it does go our way (win or draw) and we're all happy, well as happy as some of us can be anyway.  :)
I’m really hoping that if the result goes against us today the negativity does start up again. This really is a free hit and nobody should really expect anything from today and the very fact that we are going into it thinking we might shows how things have improved. Our season will not depend on todays result whatever it is

I think they will underestimate us which will be a mistake . Having said that they will be out for revenge. 1-0 Brum then back on the bike at home to Exeter next week.
They won't underestimate us. They've already lost at The Valley, and they'll be very aware of our excellent form.

Blue noses stuck out in front and flying, but one day soon someone will clip their wings. We'll give it a go, but I can't see today being that day.

    Home win 2-0

I reckon that Nathan Jones will go with an unchanged team, provided we still have a clean bill of health. A big test against the champions elect but we’re in fine form and well capable of getting a result. I hope we don’t start too slowly, as we’ve tended to in recent games, as the very last thing we need is to give them some early momentum. They’ll have a lot of the ball but hopefully we can stay in shape and utilise the pace of TC and Small on the counter.

It’s great to be looking forward to a game in front of a full-house of 28,000. I’d be delighted with a draw to keep the unbeaten run going and reinforce the confidence currently coursing through the side. Objectively, though, the 4 games in March against Orient, Stockport, Barnsley and Huddersfield are more important for our play-off ambitions, given that they’re all potential ‘6-pointers’.

A repeat of this will do: 0-1. Lookman to Holmes-Dennis and onto JJ. Still remember it well - was freezing cold. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/34816935

2-0 to Brum. I think this game is going to show the difference a side dead certs to go up and a team battling for playoffs unfortunately. Would be over the moon with a draw.

Edit required. I'm sure you don't hope for a return to the negativity and neither do I 🤔 Some won't be hesitant to emerge from their winter break with the knives out again should we suffer a reverse. A top to bottom analysis of all the club's failings is the least I'd expect to see.

Haha yes mate bloody spell check correcting things it shouldn’t.
i agree with you that should we lose no doubt the return of the naysayers is odds on. Shame because I have enjoyed the break from the continual negativity the last month or so 😂

I’ve still got the Rotherham game in my mind and am naturally quite pessimistic about Charlton, so I am trying to temper my expectations. For some reason I’m looking forward to it though.
  • Unfortunately can’t see anything other than a home win. Coming out of this unscathed injury wise will be a massive bonus with plenty of winnable games coming up

Yeah I wasnt impressed with some of the dirty tactics from Birmingham's players when they faced Newcastle, with a few ended up in the Sponsorship Boards!! - Could do without that come FT

Good news for the 2000 hardy travellers, as I won't be there, considering that this season I've seen 2 defeats and 2 postponements  ;)

Very much a game where we can get a win. Star power for Brum more obvious then being a an actual team as such where as I think we are have a decent squad that are playing for each other, little things like that can make a difference.

Under no illusions though, it will be tough and we do need to be "at it" and I think we will be.

Jealous of all those going today! Have a great day regardless of the result though I am sure a win will top it off

    0-2 (Godden & Doc)
  • It goes without saying that this is as tough as it gets in League 1. I think it is vital that we start quickly and don't give away an early goal. The longer we can keep it level the more nervous Birmingham will get. If we can get to half time level I can see us nicking a win, but a point would be very acceptable. I am hoping we are really up for this, in which case anything is possible. We certainly don't want another Rotherham type performance or else we could be in for a good hiding.

Hopefully Gilbert will be involved more today. It would be harsh to drop Berry, but Gilbert looked very good in his midweek cameo, and being a Villa fan he will definitely be up for this.

    COYA!

Didn't we win there in 95/96 4-3?  I recall the match was televised, sod it I'm going with a 4-3 win to us. I also recall some of our coaches got trashed, due to a lack of a police presence, after the game.
