If, big if at the moment, AMB is out for say a month are we entitled to get a keeper in on loan seeing as our back up to Mannion would have zero first team appearances under his belt?

Yes I think so... But given that we had Mannion out for a good while and just had Reid on the bench, I'd be surprised1

I think Mannion would have to be injured as well but might be wrong. With everyone fit I wonder if we return to risking it with no keeper on the bench2

Don't think we'd be entitled to one , think they'd look at Reid as being sufficient cover0

Has anyone got Steve Brown's phone number?9

Without trying to disrespect either AMB or Mannion , I’m hoping that the summer brings with it a new GK that’s top end rather than adequate which I’m afraid I think our current pair barely are.6

I think Mannion has something about him and will come good. Never fully convinced by AMB. Even if for one season, if we can sign an experienced keeper to come in that would be a big help to pass on some wisdom.
With that, I'm not sure who would be available in the summer as you dont want to sign any old tat either!1 -
The rules for for an emergency keeper loan are you can get one if 'all the professional goalkeepers at a club are unavailable'. Mannion and AMB are the only players who are classed as that for the purposes of the rule so we could only get someone else in if Mannion also went down injured.2

I don't remember us ever getting an emergency keeper in under the current rules.1

We missed out on the Play-Offs on goal difference that season. I hate emergency keeper loans.1

I also believe it can only be on a week by week basis. Iirc when Wycombe had keeper issues a few years ago they loaned three different goalies ( including Stephen Henderson).1 -

The rules were later tightened so it is only Keepers that can be signed outside the window now.0 -

I still think it a shame that isn't still allowed, as what often happens now is clubs end up loaning "just in case" players in January to cover for injuries, who end up hardly playing, rather than a player they actually need in February or March.2 -

A top end keeper should be above League 1 and even James Beadle once a youth Keeper of this Parish now on loan at Sheffield Wednesday from Brighton dropped a clanger or a high ball in the last minute to continue Coventry and Frank Lampard's good run in the championship.
If you watch the highlights you see mistakes with keepers from the Premier to League 2 every week.
I'm sure there are better keepers than Ashley and Mannion but I don't think either make that many mistakes. Hamer and Phillips both had their faults but overall were in credit.
