Charlton greats Lee Bowyer, Alan Curbishley, Johnnie Jackson and Chris Powell MBE will take part in a special event at The Valley on Sunday, March 2nd.

Presented by the Ex-Players' Association, Player to Manager, will give supporters the opportunity to hear from four clubs legends who have played for Charlton and gone on to manage the club.

With the Fans’ Bar opening at 3.45pm, the event itself, hosted by former Addick and CharltonTV star, Scott Minto, will start at 5pm. The first 50 tickets available to purchase at just £20. Click here to purchase now.

Once the first batch of tickets have sold out, the next 100 tickets will go on sale for £25.

Any profits generated from the event will go to the Ex-Players' Association. Click here to read more about the Ex-Players Association.

Did anyone receive tickets for this?
I received an e mail confirmation and nothing else.
Has anyone enquired with the club as to whether tickets are required?

Yes, I emailed the club this week as I didn't appear to have tickets emailed previously. They then emailed me the tickets.

  • Will Sir Lennie be there?
  • Will Sir Lennie be there?
If he is then maybe someone could ask him why he tried to steal Robert Lee off us for a derisory amount. Maybe he could make a better fist of the answer than the last time I saw him asked.

The same Robert Lee who forgets he played for us.

I've just taken another look at my e mail confirmation and there are bar code tickets at the very bottom of the email.

He doesn't. But even if he did, what difference would that make to Lennie Lawrence trying to buy him on the cheap and rip us off into the bargain?

Nothing tbh, it is just I cannot hear a bad word said about the great man.
  • He knew we were cash strapped and agonised for dough to fund the return to The Valley and he low balled us for Robert Lee
  • Will Sir Lennie be there?
As it's "player to manager", how many times did Lennie pull on a red shirt, and run onto the Selhurst pitch, as the teams ran out?

  • @Henry Irving

Any chance of someone getting a nice picture of the 4 great men together?

I'd love to buy one and could be a nice little earner for the Museum. (Maybe a big earner if you could get some signed although I can see that logistically that wouldn't be easy)

Good Idea . I'd definitely pay for a photo with all four with me and my son in it. Great opportunity after the event to raise money.
  • It's an EPA event so any fund raising should go to them.

Fair enough. But please ask Steve Brown next time you see him to take his camera with him to the event! :-)
